Hi Everyone! I miss you all so much! I have just been so busy...between what happened with my son, my second oral surgery and now getting ready to move 240 miles!!!! I am relocating to Northern Illinois and the truck comes on the 30th. I signed a new lease this last weekend and now have to PACK it all...LOL. I just wanted to pop in and say hi...and I'll be back as soon as I can. I stop in to read a little every night but haven't had much time for anything else. Love to you all!

I have a debt that was sent to J.J. MacIntyre Co., Inc., located in Corona, CA. Anyone ever had a +/- experience w/this company? My debt is only a couple of hundred bucks, which I have set aside, ready to go. My only concern is that after I send them payment in full, it might resurface later, which I have read sometimes happens w/other CAs. Is there a way I can insure that it won't be sold to another CA or sent back to the original creditor (The city & County of SF, CA) even after I pay the debt in Full to J.J. Mac.? Thanks for any input in advance!

Today I just got a debt consolidation and that covered a good majority of my bills and I was able to pay several other ones with the loan money left over. My question is they said this will help my credit I just want to make sure that it is not going to be a negative? Second question I plan to get my own apartment after my current lease is up and I have a previous dent on my credit from my old roommates who I left in the apartment when I left, funny I thought four grown adults with jobs could pay a rent of $540.

Is there anyone that can help me. My husband and I are in approximately 73k in debt. This consists of 40k student loan, 16k in an upside down car loan, 10k in a stolen motorcycle, 3400 in personal loans, 6000 borrowed from family and one medical bill for 2100. We rent. Both my husband and I work. Is there anyone near Manchester, Tennessee I can go and talk to about getting all my debts consolidated. Desperately seeking help. Thank You

Just wondering if I should send a debt validation letter before answering the summons?? I called court house and I have 21 days to answer (as of 2 days ago) so I guess I was just wondering what to do next. I really can't afford to hire an attorney unless someone knows of some that are in Michigan that don't charge an arm and a leg. So basically I have to do all this myself. Okay, I'm very grateful that I found this site and got some good advice but I did run into some problems and need some more advice! I paid my retainer fee to Town and Country and I think they are a little slow. All these pdl people have been calling me at work and threatening me, saying I'm avoiding them. Well, my phone was dc'd because no money to pay phone bill. Okay, I wired T&C the retainer fee they requested for me to get started and they said they could contact my creditors. The pdl people said they haven't heard a word from them.

I am from Jersey: where it is prohibited and I just got a call from a Kenneth Combs saying my account with the Loan Shop Viking Ventures/i guess Northbay Ventures that I am seriously deliquent with my account. I took a $300 loan from them on 12/13/07-which is to new, which I had already been paying on a $300 loan with them for 6 months, yeah stupid me they stated they would pay this loan off and give me a new one since I had paid on this one for 6 months($1170) I received the loan and first payment was due on 12/28 and stopped paying them on 2/22. I paid them $450.

Does anyone out there know how to go about responding to a bankruptcy creditor requesting an exemption from and automatic stay?
