Just curious if anyone has used them to file bankruptcy.I was thinking about going this route but, not sure.

I recently received a letter from the offices of Harold Sherr demanding payment for an original debt from a company I've never even heard of. They are claiming the original creditor was METRIS. I indeed of credit card debt, but nothing, ever, from this company. What recourse do I have?

I need to send a DV letter to Firstsource Advantage, LLC. Should I send it to the PO Box address or the physical address? Can I send certified mail to a PO Box? Thanks for your help, Amanda

I received a call today from a company in Georgia called State something with a P Services. Telling me that by having three outstanding payday loans I was in violation of Georgia Laws unless I pay up in full. I was able to get a number from 1-888-724-4111. I am just wondering if this company is legit.

Ok here is one to bend your head around. We now have tons of calls and on the credit report from Rickenbacker Group collecting on a car towed in 2006 they are collecting over 2000 bucks on this! Now here is the kicker, we sold that car! Had to go back and do some digging, but eventually found out that the person who bought the car died just a few weeks later. So now we have this stuck on our credit. We will DV, but they are collecting for the towing company so will be able to provide all documentation. We sold that car for $200 bucks to someone who wanted it for parts!

Is it okay to send these to the legal pdl's? (Cashnet USA). I want to pay my debt; but I also would like them to calculate what I say I owe and to prove that they are license in my state and also can collect... Or is that just wasting time? I have sent multiple request stating I would like an arrangement; but they have not responded... just stating to call them to discuss. I respond back that I want everything in writing that's why I want to correspond via email. If I don't have an address to mail a money order to; can they send to collections?

Hi, I recently sent a letter to one of my debts asking them to remove the item form my credit report. Yes is was a negative item but I paid it off in July 2007. I do not see a point of having it on there anymore since I do not have the credit card anymore. They sent me a letter back stating this: "We are in receipt of your letter requesting Continential Finance to reconsider the reporting of our trade line tot he credit Bureaus. Unfortunately, we are unable to honot your request.

I have sent out two DV letters to two seperate CA's. One to NAFS and one to midland credit management. Both were received on March 5, 2008. First I get a letter from MCM asking me to please send them any information I may have regarding this alleged debt while they try and locate the info I requested.I know better than to send them any of this, as it is their job not mine. Then yesterday I got another letter from them offering me a settlement amount, which isn't any great deal.

Well, I heard from my ol' buddies at United Cash Loans again yesterday afternoon; they went through their usual spiel about wanting their money, I went through MY usual spiel that PDLs' are prohibited in the State of Maryland, that I was working with the State Office of the Commissioner of Financial Regulation and that I was told to refer any and all calls, e-mails, etc. to them. Goes without saying United Cash Loans didn't want to hear that; he started in on how what I was doing was illegal, they were going to "start procedures against me," and so on.
