Good afternoon: I'm in the same situation. I got a loan back in 1/07 for 300.00 MTE Financial Services aka Ten Dollar Pay Day Loans. 4 checks bounced back because of insufficient funds. But the took (2) payments of 30.00, one for 90.00 and one for 100.00 in the month of February. After that, they MTE didn't take any more $$$ from my account. Now 2 months later, I'm getting call from that Law Firm saying that I owe then 290.00 and that I never made a payment. I have my bank statement showing that.

Good afternoon: I have been to this site before and every information I had got has been very useful. I had a pay day loan with the above company back in 1/07. It was for 300.00. I got 4 payments that bounced back because of insufficient funds. The co. got out of my account a total of 220.00 in the month of February. Now like year later, the co. hires a so called "Law Office" to get the money. And they claim that now I owe them 290.00. That doesn't make any sense at all. I hoping that someone on this forum could provide me with some guidance on what to do.

There is a lot of great info on this forum - can anyone share a story where they actually spoke to the AG or Dept. of Corporations for California re: payday loans and what should be done (pay only principle, etc.)? Would be nice to hear from someone who has gotten a response or done this before in CA. Thanks!

I am in desperate need of advice. I live in Texas and I have 4 storefront payday loans. Technically, I have had these loans quite awhile and have been rolling them over by paying the interest. I took them out when I was in a legal mess after Hurricane Rita. I have been paying about $800 every payday just in so called interest (interest+fees). Things have finally come to a head now and they are due again tomorrow. I cant pay them, not even the interest this payday. Even if they agree to wait 2 weeks I will just be in the same boat, paying the interest and never getting the balance down.

Recently there has been a hidden "identity theft protection company" hiding in the internet payday loan applications. When the money is deposited into your account you are hit with a membership fee to this company. They will continue to take a fee every month unless you cancel. When you cancel they refuse to refund the initial fee of around 35.00. So when your loan for, lets say, 200.00 is due and you pay the 260.00 or so. You really only got a 165.00 loan! What if you had to come up with 200.00 to cover a check. Now you are really screwed.

Help I had my identity stolen online. A company called MYCASHNOW and credit protection depot, not sure who is who, they are debiting hundreds of dollars out of my checking account. I went to the bank and they were the ones who helped me come up with the names listed. I have contacted the attorney general office in TN and also consumer affairs, and a private attorney. I tried to call these people myself..well they were rude and nasty. They are useless. I need to try and resolve most of this on my own, attorney fees are high. Need all the help I can get.

Has anyone heard of this IPDL?? MyQuikLoan.com 6518 Salish Drive Vancouver, BC My account is closed and a new one reopened with a different bank. I have also taken care of the other three PDL's , but I do not if this one is legal or illegal. I reside in Texas.

I had a big overdraft that was supposed to be paid on a plan with the bank but somehow it went to these people instead. They call me at work everyday although I tell them I can't take these calls. They are all Indian or Pakistani from there accents. I have a consultation with an attorney on Monday about them and several other issues but I do not know which Nationwide they are and they have not mailed me anything although like all of them they say they did. Anyone recognize them?

I just got laid-off. Didn't see it coming at all. I have several PDLs that think I can my regularly scheduled payments in 2 weeks (I CAN'T!). Do I call and try to set up payment arrangements? Has anyone else had this experience?
