If I have to go to court for an outstanding debt that a creditor is trying to collect. what kind of attorney do i need to represent me?

I received this from the BBB a few days ago but, there were problems with the website when I tried to access it until today. This is the response from OneClickCash. I overpaid these clowns by over $3,000 and they were still trying to put through a $950 check as of 2/15/08. I guess once they realized they weren't getting anymore money they decided to close out the account. I would have preferred to get some of my money back but, I'm just happy to be rid of them. I like the part about being ineligible to do business with them in the future.

Here's my story In February of 2007, my Juniper credit card with a balance of about $4000 was charged off. Allegedly Harvest Credit Management bought the account. In June of 2007, Harvest uses Philips & Burns to try and collect on the account. So I fire off a DV letter and get no response. Well at the end of December the mailman knocks on my door with a summons from the courthouse. Harvest has hired Levy & Associates to sue me for the debt.

I have been reading the info on PDLs in NCI received mine via internet...I was reading the the "ACT" for NC but it was a bit confusing... I have 5 PDLs... 1. $575-have paid 275 (117.5 in March) 2. $260-paying $60 until May then $110 3. $325-will be paying $75 until June then it will $125 4. $325-will be paying $75 until June then it will $125 5. $$260-will be paying $60 until July then $110 the amounts include finance charges...are these allowed or what...can anyone help SOON!!!!

I am working on cleaning up my credit report and most have been removed after disputing them because they were past the sol for being on the credit report, but this midland credit management just will not go away. I have never done business with them but they will not validate or anything. Then the information provided on the credit report is very strange (at least to me). Can you decipher this info? When I disputed, there was only one listing on the credit report, now there are two.

i keep getting calls several times a day from 610-840-8147. it's a recorded voice that states my name, but it just tells me to stay on the line. When i do, no one ever gets on the line and it eventually disconnects. I have even tried calling this number back and just get a recording, never a real human. my main problem with this is they call me 4xs a day at least with the last call always coming in between 9-10pm EST.

I am having trouble with some internet PDL's. They are threatening legal action. Can they do that? What are my options? I live in Indiana.

I used the online dispute for my credit report and half of all the creditors were deleted after 30 days. So, I guess it worked, but Midland Credit is still on there. It is not listed under accounts but rather under other and all it says on there is that consumer disputes this information. There is no date or information about the account (which there never was one). How can I get them off?

Urgent need some advice, I was contacted by this Law Company 5-6 months ago regarding a defaulted account. The man I spoke to demanded payment in full of $4,500.00 that day or they will take me to court and embarrass me in my town. We agreed that I sent them what I could ($700) at that time given my financial situation. I proceeded to send them 2 additional payments ($800 each) the following 2 month before getting a call from the GM saying that they wanted to work something out. He then stated a balance of $5,000+ but was willing to settle for $3,200.
