im buying a car soon and i have to put down a down payment however i dont have the cash now i have to wait till my next payday and the dealer was telling me that i could write a post dated check!!!! Any advise!

I live in Illinois, I got a call from a collection agency about 3 old tickets that I have from 2001. They total less than $500. I had been getting calls with a message telling me ta call back some number. When I caalled the lady told me that I was going to have my license suspended because I owe over $2000 in parking fines. She told me that we could settle. Well, I told the lady that I didn't know what she was talking about.

Hi guys, I first of all want to thank the forum owners for keeping this forum up and running because it has helped me in sooo many ways. Well a couple of days ago I received the infamous phone call from a Mr Sargeant saying that someone was taking legal action against me and that I needed to call them back to settle this out of court. LOL Anyways, needless to say I was floored!! I had no idea what the hell was going on. I just left the message and decided to see if they would call back. Well, they called back today..

OK. We had our income tax return intercepted for a defaulted student loan of my husbands (the tax return taken was 5,900.). Sallie Mae says we show 0 balance with them and referred me to United Student Aid Funds. I had a run around with their automated system, but, got referred yet again from there to Allied Inc. Here is the kicker.... I contacted them. I wanted to resolve the issue before the next income tax return. They were very nice and we were working out a payment plan over the phone. I had agreed to pay $60 a month on the balance.

Are there any good reptuable debt reduction companies out there? I have spoke with one that says they will reduce my debt by almost 50% but I just don't know if it really is legit! Any help?

Hi, I was just wondering, has anyone ever enrolled with Belford Highschool? You pay a fee of $249 and they send you a diploma and transcripts within 7 days. I'm currently looking for pictures of what the diploma, transcripts, and other things look like. The website has pictures of them, but they are too small to look at. If someone has enrolled in this school, I would be very thankful if someone could show me what all of the papers look like in a big view.

I currently have four Internet payday loans out. I live in Iowa and I just had to close my checking acct because I lost a book of checks and I thought since I had to change my acct # this might be a good time to get out of the payloan cycle. Basically here is my story.. 1 day in november i randomly got my free credit report and I saw there was a collections on Experian for $1840 So i wrote down the Account and the name of the CA and called them and figured out the Collection was for a Vehicle that my mother put into my name and got impounded and since the car was a POS my mother let it sit in the impound since it was more to take the car out then the car was worth. I guess she thought that that was it since she has had cars impounded before and nothing has happened.

I owe about $2000 to state due to numerous traffic violations. Part of the problem is beacuse of procrastination, and the other part is due to lack of income. My driver's license has been suspended because I could not pay these debts therefore it is difficult to find a job and I have no absolute and definite reliable transportation. My next court date is about March 14th and I am facing up to a year in jail. I do not have the money for an attorney nor do I know if an attorney is necessary in this case.
