Hello everyone, At the advice of another, I first posted my problem on the Rip Off Report on Feb. 6th '08 but, amazingly, not one person has remarked on my situation and I can't wait much longer. If you'd actually like to see the long version, PM me or something and I'll direct you to that post or e-mail it to you. As this problem pertains to my credit score and History on all 3 of the main bureaus, I thought I'd post a shorter version here. If a Moderator feels this should be in another section, please feel free to move it or let me know where to re-post. I'm here for help, not trouble.

I received a summons taped to my door. It gave me 30 days to reply to either the court or the plaintiff's attorney. I am in the process of answering with the court and am on day 23 right now. The summons and complaint has the law firm listed and a place for signature but is unsigned. Is this a proper summons and complaint? Also I have not received a copy in the mail from the attorney which I think is required by state law within 20 days. Is this improper services?

seen a lawyer a few years ago, a few months went by and my son got cancer and the lawyer told me to wait. So I did.. Now that I want it over the price went went from 1150 to 1500-1600 bucks and they shredded my file over a year ago and never said a darn word.I have the money to file for Chapter 7 but not sure how. He now says that it is up to a panel of people to decide whether or not they will let you go bankrupt or make you pay.I need to go chapter 7. I am a stay at home mom I am confused??? I acquired all this debt (about 7,000) between 5-8 years ago.

Hi all, I joined this forum last year and unfortunately through a series of bad decisions find myself here again. I've gotten on top of my regular creditors through a debt counseling group, and now need to deal with these lousy PDLs that I signed up for, again. I've already shut down the checking account that they have on record and have a new account setup. My pay date has come and gone and they've started calling me AND calling my references. So, here's my list of PDL creditors; all are Internet.

the accounts are closed, the letters have been sent via email (hard copy to follow via USPS) and one is supposed to be making a debit today. Now I sit and wait for the other shoe to drop. Any bets on how long it will take?

they keep calling for someone that does not live here. even after I told them to never call my home again. I reported them to the Atty Generals office on 2/12/08. Gloria Gillford ( from Redline ) left a message on my machine for this guy. I told her now I now this guys business. she said I never called you, I told her she was lying as she is on my machine then she said she was calling for my husband and gave his name. I know she is full of crap as we do not owe anyone we are debt free..they called back again today but did not say anything. how do I make them stop calling me.
