I live in SE Pennsylvania I have about 140-165,000 equity in my house (500k) I have had a string of family emergencies and was laid off and injured. A heloc fell through 2 months ago with my primary lender. this led to vicious cycle and my credit is shot. I have tried to get a 2nd lien, a small short term loan from a private lender.

If I have credit cards in a LLC name with its own tax id number, can I be sued personally for the debt. I received a letter from a lawyers office and the LLC name is not on the letter just my name.

Fifth Third Bank has an account called Basic53 which allows customers a checking accounts who is currently on chexsystems. I called the customer services number and the rep could not identify me due to the fraud alert on my credit report. I went to the local branch and the rep took all of my information and instantly approved me not for the basic53, but for a FREE CHECKING ACCOUNT. I am so happy right now. So if anybody have a FIFTH THIRD BANK in their area and is currently on chexsystems i recommend this bank. OH AND BY THE WAY, MY CHEXSYSTEMS REPORT IS HORRIBLE.

Years ago, in 2002, I let a credit card with First America (which was sold to Bank One) go and be charged off. The balance I believe as nearly 5k. In the process of cleaning up my credit (paying everything off and settling others), this one is still gets me. It is on 1 of the 3 burueaus (Experian)...however, they keep changing the balance - it is not up to 11k that they want (!). Of course they will settle for half, which is still way more than I owed on this acct. I also believe they have changed the 'last date' on the account.

Hi, I am FL. I recently am going through a messy separation. I honestly let all the credit cards go unpaid for about 1 year. I moved. Once in a while I get a collection letter. But it's either pay rent, car or food. My concern is when they catch up to me what will happen. I own my car but it's financed under my name & ex-husband & we owe more than it's worth. I rent a house so no other assets just clothes, toys, tv etc. There is also an older car (95 chevy corvette) that my brother-in-law put on his credit card but it's under my ex's name & I just found out mine !!!

I'm trying to pay off my pdls with Paydayonline.com and World Wide Cash does anyone have addresses or phone numbers for these companies?

I finally got to actually talk to my son yesterday! I was so excited that I could have peed my pants, but I didn't!! LOL He sounded good, but tired. He said things were going well and that in reality, basic wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. He is trying to stay under the radar. He said his biggest task right now is to get up to doing 40 push ups and 50 sit ups. He said he can do 30 something but not quite 50 yet. Told him not to give up that he will get there. He did talk to his sister and his dad, but not very long.

I have a citibank credit card that has been in collections for a long time. I would say about 4 years old. I have been trying to make a settlement with them they want 4200 for a settlement and not a dime less. I was willing to pay them 3000. Now I'm getting letters for a judgment. What would you guys recommend that I do. I need to do something this week

I had a past due credit card I've been making good on for some months. The amount is laughable in comparison to some people, but needless to say I got the new balance down to $130. I missed a payment after Christmas simply because I wasn't in town and things got hectic, but it's my intention to mail them two months worth of what I agreed to on payday this week. On Saturday I received a letter stating that the past due balance of $130 still stands - and now I all of a sudden owe them $49.17 in late fees?? Where the heck did this come from?
