This collection company has bought an old Payday loan account from a previous company that I dealt with. Now they are faxing my jobs threatening legal action and on the front cover of the fax it states that a warrant will be issued through my local district attorney. It was first sent over to another department, in which an employee re-faxed it to my area, then from there, another employee took it off the fax and gave it to me. Is this legal?

I am so stupid and have a lot of payday loans. I just want to pay them off and try to start over. Any suggestions. Dianne

What does it mean when it a debt says it was written off as profit and loss? Does it go to a CA afterwards?

So I sent out a payment for deletion letter and they sent me a installment confirmation back I called and asked if they were agreeing to my terms and the lady said yes they were, so I asked if they could send me another letter stating in black and white if i pay this bill in full it would be deleted and she said that they can't send it out until after they receive full payment What should I do?? They could tell me that just to get me to pay them and then when I do they tell me no way, should I send over a letter and ask them to sign it?? I dont know what to do.......

i live in Maryland work in Delaware. took out several storefront loans in Delaware. Maryland prohibits pdls, what action will they take in default, is it under Maryland or Delaware law. will they take me to court in Delaware or Maryland
