I have noticed that sometimes people may say something to a CA that the CA will use against them as in ‘you admitted to this debt.’. They will try to use this to get around debt validation. Do not let them do this! Remember, even if you owed the OC and admitted to it, you did NOT admit to owing the CA!!! That is key! Even if you agree they are holding the account, they still have to provide the documentation that proves they can collect, or the amount they are collecting. It is very simple. Look at all the multi-million dollar judgments against CAs.

Hi, I just sold my car that i owed 35,000$ on. My credit score is a 665 and i need to get it above a 680 to get my house. I now have no credit card or car loans and i am 100% debt free. Will this help my credit score? If so, how long will it take to show paid in full? Thanks.

So I was sitting down eating dinner tonight when there's a knock at the door. I just got served with court summons for a somewhat old debt. The original creditor was Discover, but they sold the debt to Calvary Investments. The SOL is 5 years - the summons says that the last payment was made in February of 2003. I don't recall making said payment, and would have been out of a job then so I'm not sure how I could have made one, but whatever. SO! My question to you, dear forum people, is what do I do now? I'd be willing to do a payment plan, I guess.

Hi, I have a collection with afni INC. and they will not accept my payment in exchange with removal from my credit report. My score is at at 665 and i need this removed to get my score in the 680 range to buy my house. Any suggestions?

Need help.My question is based on the following info so please Received a summons on Christmas Day from North Star Capital Acquis. Llc. Attached was an affidavit from the county of chesterfield, state of virginia claiming I owe money on an account I have never opened with Total Card. Yet on my credit report Zenith Corp. aka North Star, reported a different account number with the same debt amount and account opening date as valid credit card account that was paid. After making phone calls to the original debtor who would not provide me any information.

I have 8 payday loans out that I hav elet go into default.A few have let me set up paymen tplans, but others are threatening my job, calling every 10 minutes at homw and work, and telling me I am going to ail and will end up owing 9 to 10 times what I actually got out. Is there anywhere I an go for help? This mess I have gotten myself into is makingme crazy! Help!
