I received a phone call from them claiming they are from the Federal Bureau. Regarding my payday loan. I did have a loan but I couldn't pay them. What can I do. I am terrified right now that they are the real thing. Can they be?

I am 30 years old and have not kept up with my part of the deal with the cc companies and now in way over my head. Between the phone calls and law firms calling and sending stuff, I don't know what to do anymore. Can you help

I got installment loan from them back in April '07. I got it for a relative who "needed the money really bad and promised they'd make the payments". Needless to say, I got about 3 of the $233 payments and then I paid 1 more on my own. So for the $900 loan I paid $932. After that I could not afford to pay anymore. I called First Bank of Delaware and tried to work something out, but of course they wouldn't. I had to close my account because it was just too much for me to handle.

I live in Maryland and when I found out PDls were prohibited here, I closed my bank acct and started working w/ the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Regulation (as mentioned on this website). Most of the PDL companies have quietly faded away; but I was wondering, approximately how long does it take before the more persistent companies or their 'hired guns' give up?

hello my name is sheila daniel i live in van nuys california just drove out here with my husband and 2 kids to live, we had our jeep, the only car we own ok, parked out on the street were it has to be parked, and have not drove it for a little while cause of no insurance, well just the other day a drunk driver totaled our jeep while it was parked, now we have no car!! Is there anything i can do being that i had no insurance?? please help, we have a family and need a car for school and work..please that jeep was our life!

Momma is right, but we can't really give any good advice without knowing more about your situation. Both consolidation and settlement have their advantages and disadvantages.

Can anyone tell me what the pdl laws for Ohio is. We have both storefront and online pdls. Two of the storefronts bounced last week and I am worried sick. I am also worried about paying the mortgage and other bills. This is a horrible mess we've gotten into. Thanks for any help.

I see Palisades on several accounts and lvnv funding llc, Unifund Co., RJM ACQ LLC How do I go about finding phone numbers where I can call to get the right amount that I need to pay off all of these headaches.... I had a payday loan out in 2004. I thought it was paid but I have been getting harassing phone calls from people who sound like they are calling from another country. I can't show proof of payment because it's been 4 years & I don't have it anymore. When I ask the name of the company that they are calling from they tell me "Dept. of Investigation". They inform me that if I don't pay then I will get arrested. I get very annoyed because I can't understand these people. They tell me they will take legal matters into their own hands & prosecute me.
