Can anyone refer me to a payday loan consolidation company that works with you before your loans are in default? I have been told by several that they cannot help me because my loans are under $5,000.00. My debt is around $2500.00. I got involved in them when my husband lost his job due to being diagnosed with cancer. Now I want to get rid of them and it seems impossible since my income does not allow me to pay huge payments. Any help is appreciated

I have a few internet payday loans. Live in Tennessee, just wondering if someone can guide me how to stop them from debiting my account. I know I owe them and am willing to pay, but i am tired of them debiting whenever they want to (not always on payday, and bank charges me fees).

I have a student loan in default. This year i was hurt at work and unable to pay. My loan went into default and my tax refund was offset. Can anyone help me with this?

Just so you know, it is perfectly acceptable to tip your collection agent. Ten to fifteen percent of your monthly bill is appropriate.

I have bad debt that was sold to a collections agency in 2003. The amount was around $8K. The original creditor is listed on my credit report as "purchased to another lender" and will appear on my credit report until 2009. Now a different collections agency is trying to collect on this debt. My question is if I pay them (or accept their settlement offer for $6K) how will that at all affect my credit report? The credit agency is not listed, just the original creditor. They are saying that if I don't call back today they will seize my paycheck and my assets.

February 2nd is the day that we watch to see what a strange beady eyed creature has to say about the future. It is also the day of the Presidents State of the Union address. Am I being redundant? I wanted to make Groundhog Day special so I headed over to Party City. I could not believe that all they had was Super Bowl stuff. Not one Groundhog Day flag or banner! Nothing! I went to Hallmark and was disappointed there also! Not one Happy Groundhog Day card.

Got a demand letter at home from Cash Central today. Do these things have any teeth? I just reported them over the weekend to the BBB? Should I be concerned about wage garnishment? I sent all of the necessary revocation letters but can't recall if Cash Central was voluntary one or not. Thanks
