I had sent out a cease and desist letter to Cash Today Limited, with the following address: Cash Today Limited 1005 Terminal Way Ste. 110 Reno, NV 89502 I just checked online to see if the letter was received. It says Moved,Left No Address,Undeliverable as Addressed. Would anyone have a different address for this company? This is the one listed on the BBB website. I just want them to get this letter,so the phone calls stop.Thanks for all the help. John

I stumbled across this site after worrying (again) all day on whether or not we will have a place to live and food to eat at the end of this month thanks to payday loans. I've learned that it's really the worst mistake I've ever made. I have read through some posts and for the first time, I feel like maybe some one out there may be able to help me with the answers I am looking for. I've been so scared about what is going to happen to myself and my family as a result of having 7 payday loans and a title loan.

I took out a $500 loan from paydaymax.com on 11/28/07. I have since paid them $458.04. I sent them the letter on Friday telling them that I would only pay the remaining principal and the legally allowed interest on this loan and also that they were no longer allowed to debit my bank account.

Is it legal for collectors to call even on Sunday.You would think they would give you some peace sometimes. Is there any laws that govern them at all. Are we just at their mercy?

I have been reading lots of Westbury Ventures-They are calling/emailing with their crap saying I had took a loan out in Nov. 2002 and never paid it and I don't think I have ever had a loan with them. I know I have never took a loan and not paid on it, I have had a PDL and it ate me up but it is on my credit report and is not their company and 'Ms. Lee" said this wouldn't be on my credit report yet b/c they haven't reported it. I did get in a hole with one but not this one and How do I find out if I had one?

ON THE 1099-C I RECEIVED THEY HAVE THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT OF 6280.32. I PAID A SETTLEMENT AMOUNT OF 1330.00, SO SHOULD IT BE THE DIFFERENCE?

Hi everyone! I would just like to hear a few people's opinions on whether or not I should look into consolidating my credit card debt. I currently have 4 active credit cards. The total balance as of the end of this month of the 4 combined is $6,200. The interest rates on 3 out of the 4 cards are over 20% (!!!!) as well! I also am going to have to start making federal and private loan payments by the end of this year.

Debtor: I don't have that amount of money right now. Collector: How much can you send today? Debtor: I have maybe $500. Collector: How much can you send us each month? Debtor: I think $300. Collector: Ok. If we have that $500 by 5 PM and you send $300 by the first of every month, we'll hold off on legal action.

Ok, so I called a couple weeks ago to cancel my credit monitoring service with TrueCredit (a TransUnion company). I had cleared all the mistakes on my reports and bought a house and have all the credit I need, so I didn't want to waste 14.95 a month on this service anymore. As many of you know, it is very difficult to cancel as the farmed out customer service department is scripted to not let you cancel. After 10 minutes of arguing, they finally cancelled my subscription effective the 16 of January.
