Are these guys affiliated with Matt Dolman or Berman, Dolman & Berman, P.A.?

It seems anybody can be a collector. I just bought an old list of debts for like $50. I've been calling people up all day long telling them better Western Union me the money within the hour or they will be arrested for fraud. I've collected 1400 dollars just today! This is so cool!!!!

I can't even begin to describe the number of entities that I have spoken with in an attempt to end the annoying phone calls, and the campaign of harassment that my debt colectors have been engaged in. A friend of mine recommended attorney Matthew Dolman of Berman, Dolman & Berman, P.A., who was able to effectively put an end to the phone calls and letters, and began going after the debt collectors one by one for violations of a federal statute known as the fdcpa and the FCRA. It still shocks my mind that a single attorney could completely change my situation.

Hello, I am so glad to have found this forum. It seems to be very active, with information people involved from just reading some of the post. I have to be honest...this is my first step at revealing who I am as a person "financially." I hope not to be judge but sincerely helped with my situation and goal of getting out of debt, and becoming debt free. I am 36 years old, and grew up in a family where no financial discipline was learned. As I aged, and got married etc...I just didn't pay my bills.

i took out this internet payday loan in 2005 it was for 300$ i have paid back more than 300 in fee's and they were even debiting my credit card w/o permission b/c i had (stupidly) given them that account to make payment arrangements. Out of the blue i get a call that they are trying to collect on a balance. I live in Louisiana, what rights do i have to not pay them anymore money. How can i get them to quit calling me? OK here is a little background on my situation - I signed up to work with Credit Solutions 1 year ago. I know now that it was the biggest mistake of my life. But anyways, I need to move on. 1. First of all, when you are working with them and they tell you to call back tomorrow and they give you their direct number - it is a bunch of crap. They never return your calls and if you call the direct line and ask for the person, they are never available. 2. If they tell you they will call you back - don't believe them because they don't. 3.

Hi everyone. I received a summons in the mail today from an attorney representing RJM Acquisitions. It says that I owe some 1,300 dollars for some debt that is not mine. The case has been filed. Here is what I need help with 1. I need to submit an Answer. How do I do this? Will I need an attorney for the answer forms? 2. How can I prove this debt is not mine. I know that it isn't but how could I prove it. 3. If they judge against me how would they collect. I am a stay at home dad without any income so they couldn't garnish anything, I am not married so they couldn't go after a spouse.

I am being sued by Capital One. I owe the money, but I don't want to pay. Can somebody tell me the best way to avoid having to pay them back? Isn't it their responsibility to more careful about whom they extend credit to? That's the way I see it.

One thing I was never clear on. As most of us here know companies like LVNV never collect for themselves, they just farm it out to other CAs. When you request validation from one CA does that only bind that CA to cease collection activities until validation is produced or does it also bind LVNV?

Got an inital dunning letter from Hudson and Keyse, LLC for an old Providian (now WaMu) Card...latter dated Dec 20, 2007 but postmarked Dec 24, 2007 (nice try, kept the envelope). Looked them up on Bud Hibbs...bottom feeders, dont show up to court for their own cases, etc. So in the letter it says "In the interest of being amicable, we will postpone collection efforts to allow you time to request verification of the debt". Amicable?? Dont play yourselves for being nice. :lol: Umm hello, its my right. DV letter going out today CRR
