I live in NJ and my husband lost his job and he collects unemployment. We fell behind on the rent but we are paying rent plus extra every month. Can they throw us out or should we go through the court and let a judge set the payment schedule if it gets to the point where we get too far behind?

hi everyone been a while since I have been here - 2 years ago, my mom-in-law was advised by an attorney to stop paying her cc debt (over $75,000) we had NO idea it was this bad. He said this because she is on ss income only. So she has been avoiding ca since. Yesterday she got a summons for court date next week. I have contacted our atty - we meet him tues, but just wanted any advice for her. It is from Atlantic Credit FI for about $10,700.

I have a old payday loan with my cash now in Grenanda. Not even the US. I have Phoenix debt management calling me. This is the second collection agency its been with. They are telling me they are going to Garnish my wages. Can they do that. I was on here about a month ago and there was a form to send for wage garnish ment. Can anyone help

i never recieved a loan contract or have any idea about the payment arrangments what do i do

I have a loan out with Check N Go and they called me telling that I have two days to clear the matter over a check that just got returned or they will move to their collection department which wil garnish my wages. I called back and told them they needed a court order to garnish my wages. They responded in my contract that they could do so if I did not pay. I'm in AZ. Is this possible? I thought even if it is in a contract, they would need to get an order from a judge which of course, a lawsuit needs to be filled and the defendent properly served.

i have a bankruptcy that is 9 1/2 years old on my credit report, will my score improve very much in 6 months when it comes off or not too much cause it's so old anyways?

if a family member were to add me to their perfect 6 year old credit card (with 1500 limit), how much, if any would that improve my score?
