I'm embarrased to admit that my husband and I are in Payday Loan Hell. We have 13 between the 2 of us and paying $1600+/months just in fees. We are in Colorado that is now offering the payment plans, which we are taking advantage of, but we are still paying more on these loans than our budget allows for ... continuous cycle. Please, does anyone know of a legitimate payday loan debt consolidation firm? HELP!

Hello, I am in debt for about 45k. I am not delinquent yet in any of our accounts, however we are nearing 60 days late on some of them. What is a good alternative? I cannot make payments due to pay cuts in my company amongst others.

Going on with the winter season, there is a great website that we learned about last year. You can make your own snowflakes. It is so much fun. My purse was stolen with my checkbook, license, s.s card and debit card. The person who stole it opened an account with Best Buy and put charges on it for over $3000. I was contacted a couple of months ago by CACH,LLC about paying this debt. I told them it was theft idenity and faxed them the police report and a affidavit stating this twice by fax. They said they were going to send me to jail and that I was lying and they don't believe me. They even told me that the account was opened before the theft. I checked and it was opened a couple of days after the theft.

Should you give bank information to debt collector? What can they do with bank account information? I am talking to a law firm to pay off a old CC debt from Chase. I am willing to pay all in 2 weeks. They are asking me for a check by phone to be able charge me 12/15. I'm brand new here, but I'm sure glad I found this forum! Here's the backstory: We have been getting automated calls asking for my wife by her maiden name for the last couple of weeks. Out of curiosity [and with her consent], I finally 'pressed 1' the other night, just to see what it was. I got a fellow whose name I didn't catch, demanding to know if I was [wife's name]. I allowed that I was her husband, and I was getting tired of their automated calls. He jumped up and down for a few minutes, demanding to speak to her [ain't happening!].

First off I would like to thank everyone on the crew for this wonderful website and I don't know what I would of done without it!!!! Well, back in March or April I was looking around the internet trying to find a way to get out of my mess. I was sent a collection notice by law office of Howard Lee Schiff, PC. I responded with a letter requesting validation. No response. Several months later they mailed me a summons for small claims court. I guess I was under the impression that they have to respond to validate as the request was sent within 30-days. Should I respond denying allegations as they did not validate? Or just attempt to settle.
