i'm not sure where to post this, but... my brother recently went to a mortgage company to apply for his first home loan and on his credit report is a mortgage loan as well as several other items that do not belong to him. they belong to my father. they share the same name, aside from the suffixes, my dad being senior, my brother junior. my brother tried calling the companies that had put the items on the credit report, advising them that the socials, dobs, etc... did not match - of course they claim their hands are tied and they cannot remove the items.

I'm in Washington state. I have 5 loans: Advance til Payday - I have a $375 balance, I have paid $50 Advance America - $550 balance, I will make a payment of $82 on next friday The Cash Store - $600 The acct is in collections. I just called the collections agency and they said they sent me a letter on oct 24th (which I never received) and I had one chance to respond to the letter and the call (?) and now they are sending it to an attorney/court.

Hey I've had a bill from Midland for about 2 years supposedly from SBC the phone company in Springfield, MO I have ignored it because I have only found negative info on the company. They are trying to settle for 80.00 which is no big deal seeing how it's effecting my credit but does anyone have any adivice?

I'm 18 years old and like most 18 year olds thought it would be a great idea to get a credit card. Worst idea ever. Well now I'm $800 in debt and one card is 90 days past due. My credit history is only about 9-10 months old so how badly will this mess up my credit history? I'm currently trying to apply for a private student loan and have had no luck at all. Denied. Do you think if I paid off my credit cards that I would be able to get a private student loan?

how is it possible to dispute with equifax on a entry on a credit report and they find it to be a fraud item and delete it.and i have the summary page they send out informing of results that says it was a fraud item and deleted but they let capital one put it back? and not notify me in writing

I have custody of my younger brother, who is autistic, and has many doctors appointments. I also owe about $3,000 for an accident I had in '03. Is there any way,having a special needs child, I can get a release on my license as long as I agree to pay a monthly fee as some type of settlement or would it be a "lost cause"?

I had a phone call today from some "litigation" company that claimed to have a Conseco Mastercard collection account (which is not listed on my credit report anymore as as the sol and drop off date is more than 10 years now) and she got all nasty with me. Can they still claim in court? I said the debt was too old to collect and they should send me validation information. She claimed that it already was sent (to my address from 11 years ago--as if that is current) and that they did not need to do that and that she needed my current address.
