your bank refuses to put a "Hard Debit Block" on an account that you have closed? The reason I am asking is because I closed my account with Citizen's Bank and moved my account to a different bank, and after reading alot of info here, I realized that my old account could be "forced back open" if they try to debit my account. I have talked (and went in and talked to someone) about putting this on this account, and got told that they could not and would not do this.

We recently fell into some money and are debating what to do with it. We have a low interest credit card (6.9%)and a home equity loan (9.1%). The mortgage and home equity loan together are in excess of the amount the house is worth. This bothers me. We aren't sure if we should pay off the credit card or put it towards paying down the home equity loan or put 1/2 towards credit and 1/2 towards home equity. Can anyone help? Thanks

I live out in the country and have a barn, one of the neighbors cats had kittens in my barn. Well she got ran over the other night and I have these approximately 6 to 8 week old kittens in the barn. I have been feeding them canned food and giving them water. Because they aren't used to human contact obviously since they were born in the barn how do I keep them warm this winter and water from not freezing in the barn. I have been forbidden by my husband to bring them into the house.

We went over limit on our credit card. They have imposed the default rate on the account. This is a 24% higher interest rate than we had before. What should we do? The amount they want for the monthly payment is now more than our house payment.

I have been paying on a debt I co-signed for a friend who is now deceased. I know nothing of the history of this debt, if she ever paid anything, what was purchased, etc. I just got word of it after she died and the collection agency started trying to get me to pay. Since I knew I co-signed, I figured I had to pay it. It has been about 90 days. Is it too late to request validation?
