Can anyone tell me if payday loans are legal in Texas?

Does anyone know if Lakota Cash, PDLnow, CashKing Advance and CashwebUsa online payday loans are legal in IN?

I live in Virginia and this Pay Day loan place started double dipping and I had to get my bank involved. Eventually, I had to close my account because they would not stop.

To whomever it may concern: I took out a payday loan for $200.00, my payment is $289.00. The fees are taken out each and every month. So far I have paid them $247.00. This does not cover the principle. How can I stop them from going into my checking account? I live in New York. Please help. Sincerely, Mamalove

My husband co-signed a private student loan for a friend while still in college. The former friend has now defaulted on the loan after never making a payment and deferment status running out. The former friend actually never paid school bills with the loan and instead used it for a new car, electronics, and cloths. Can anything be done since the loan was taken out for school and never used on school expenses?

I have a 500 dollar loan with loan shop, I have pais 900 so far. Does anyone know if they are licensed in Florida and if they are do they know if they are following state guidlines? I feel I have more than paid my debt in 3 months.

Hello all - Was seeking advice online about how to deal with Eastside Lenders. As the title says I took out a loan from Eastside Lenders for $950 this month. They were not supposed to take a payment from my account until Nov 1 2012 and they have already taken $50 out causing my account to go negative because it was before a payday. On advice of my bank I closed the account and opened another. The new account info of course will not be shared with Eastside Lenders or any of the millions of other scammy payday loan places that keep emailing or calling me that I did not apply directly with.

For a variety of reasons, I've managed to rack up an insurmountable amount of biweekly payments that I'm not able to keep up with any longer. All of the payments that I had due last week are now hitting my bank and costing me alot of money in OD fees. Here are the loans and how much I owe. Any help or advice would be great. I'm considering closing the checking account and have already canceled my direct deposit.
