I moved out of my home state two years ago this january to be with the man i love. things were great until be both lost our jobs at the same time. and were living off of my credit cards. which all got over limit during that time. and i kept applying for more and more. finally we both got back to work. and now we've been where we have been living for over a year but i'm still trying to catch up. it's totally destroyed my credit

Can one go bankrupt and keep the house? What if the mortgage is in the arrears? If the mortgage is in both the husband and wife name, do both have to go bankrupt to avoid collections?

I am also in a payday loan trap. I have been paying on some loans for approximately 8 months. I have already closed my account. My problem is I am trying to find phone numbers for some of the companies in order to pay them off, but I cannot. One is Loan Shop Northbay and Geneva Roth Cap. I have opened another banking account at a different bank and would like to get these loans paid, but I cannot seem to find a website to get a phone number. Can anyone help?

I got the PDF files from my states DFI today. There are 2 of them, they are pretty long so I cannot post them. One is the case against them and the second one is Cashtoday's response.
