ok, so I've made some progress this week, however the next thing the phone will start ringing. We are going over our budget this weekend to get a plan to pay them all off. So my question today is, can they refuse a payment? If so, how do they get away with refusing? From what I can see right now, we can have everyone paid off within 6 months, so each one would get about 100 a month. I've read many of you say how they called you repeatedly and called your references, I'm just trying to get a feeling of why they did that if you were making payments.

Okay, I got my wife's internet payday loans under control, but was wondering about the storefront lenders. She no longer has the funds to pay back these lenders, so I plan to visit all four next week to inform of this. Is there a sticky on what steps I should take to get these under control, or what documents I should submit to them? I appreciate all of the help as I would have never got the internet loans under control without the great information that I received from this site. I would appreciate some info on what steps I should take with the storefront lenders.

Before paying on an old debt/ collection , remember this .... be careful ! Does paying off liens & collections improve my credit? In the long run yes, but in the short term it doesn’t have much of an effect at all, unless the amounts have a balance listed in the “past due” section of the report.

I don't know if anyone has a problem like this before: I have a Providian Credit Card that i guess WAMU took over now, but it has a feature call "FICO Score" that lets u know what your current FICO Score is. Well .. one time my FICO dipped 60 pts! I panic and called every creditor i have & they all told me i'm in good standings & my credit report was normal. I got tired of researching & lefted it alone & 6 months later my FICO climbed up 60 pts back to normal. Than about 11 months later my FICO started dipping 32pts one month and dipped another 36pts ..

I want to apply for this account but on the application where it says to check by type of driver, what do you check? Also on the bottom do you have to fill in about accounting service and all that? Thanks!

I owed Bank of America $2200, and wasn't able to meet the monthly payments. My acutal charges were about $1000, everything else is just interest and late fees. I did not pay, or call them. Finally, sent to a collections/law office. Responded to them A.S.A.P. I forgot I owed money, I was willing to pay until I heard the grand total of $2200, which I am not willing to pay in one payment. I asked if I can do montly payments of $75, and they laughed, and said no, and that they would take me to court, and charge me attorney fees, court fees, and that I could end up paying 5 times more.

I just shot off 2 e-mails one to USA payday loan and Payday select. USA Payday has already responded and they say I've already paid 300, and all I have to pay is 200 and we will be good!!!!! OMG!!!
