Hi, I just received a phone call from Great Lakes collection agency and spoke with a Susan... She wanted me to give out my husbands credit card number to post date and I told her when I had the money in 3 days I would send a money gram but I would not give her any credit or check numbers over the phone..She then proceeded to say that I had to and that she had MY CHECKING account information. I took that as a threat to enter my checking account without authorization... She also said she would contact my references...

I have been reading on various forums about these people. i had a PDL account with CMG group LLC that was forwarded to them and I have received some automated messages from them but with no luck trying to return the call. Any advice on what I should do next? SHould I send the letter that I originally sent to CMG stating my plan to work with a dmp and their illegal practices in Indiana. According to what I have figured up I should only owe them $69 based on IN laws for repayment. It seems like this one is a difficult one to work with because they are a collection agency.

Once you have received PIF PDL letters, do you still keep all the emails in their respective folders?? I have a manila envelope for each company and I keep track of everything that way. Could I simply print out the emails and put them in the envelope?? Also, how long do you keep this information?? :D

We received a notice of reposession on our family van yesterday...this gave us the final sign that we had to file and try to get our life back in order. Up until this year, we have been stellar debtors. We always made sure everything was paid on time and usually paid a month ahead. BUT this year has been HELL. I work a full time job and I also design houses on my own as residual income.

I being sued by a law company for a credit card that I had! They are wanting me to pay too much a month without me having to court. Is there any help for me to get out of this debt?

I just got an email from Eastside Lenders telling me I was approved for a $300 loan. I clicked on the loan documents to see what the hell was going on, and there is all my new banking info. See, I still owe them $80. They agreed to settle with me and I haven't paid them back yet. I'm terrified now! I responded to their email and told them I did NOT solicit this loan and to remove my data from their system. How in the world did they get this info. I've been so careful since opening this new account to not give the information out. I haven't applied for a loan, nor will I ever again.
