Hello, I am new here and have some questions I have $11,000 charged-off account(auto finance) on my credit history, and it is on the collection agency. I sent debt settlement letter to the collection agency, and I got their answer. It contains..I offered the amount for half of $11,000 and the collection agency accepted that amount when I pay before XX. When I got this letter I knew there's something wrong than I thought. I wanted "paid in full" but it says "settled in full". I knew I had to do debt consolidation instead debt settlement.

Hello Everyone, I recently signed up on this sight and just talked to my financial coach. I'm not sure if he reads this forum or not, but I wanted to just check what other members think about what he is suggesting to me. First, here is my situation. I have several credit cards and personal loans totaling about 28K. I have missed a few payments here and there but I am now currently caught up. The problem is I don't feel like these things are ever going to get paid off. Two of my credit cards jumped to 32% interest because I was late on a payment.

i havent even went on their website to fill out a loan, how did they get my info over there???

i need help getting rid of my payday loans is there anyone that can help me,like a website or credit attorney,etc.please i need advice.thank you

ACE Adjustments, they mainly deal with hospital bills for a local hospital. Very courteous reps (small company too) They will work with you however they can. Heck one point where I was unemployed they said that they understand and that if any point I can pay anything just let them know and they will try to work something out. If all CA's were like them, we wouldn't need this forum.

I was recieving these phone calls that was a recording and never a live person and did not ask for anyone it just stated that "Please call Atwarter at 1-888-246-4874" this repeated like 4 times. The company was never identified in the calling. Well I called them and asked question find out it is NCO financial looking for my daughter. What are the rules regarding phone calls do they have to identify the company or what?

Well here in texas the debt collector has to be registered with the Sec. Of State to do collections in this state. Here is something I found "Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code prohibits a third-party debt collector or credit bureau from engaging in debt collection in Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond and filed a copy of the bond with the Office of the Secretary of State." Now I have this collection agency people first recoveries that are tring to collect on a debt.

I have had a CA call my mother's phone twice now leaving a lengthy message with all my personal business on it; however, they start off the phone call saying "This is a message for John Doe, if you are not John Doe you need to hang up now." Is that legal? I would think if they were trying to get contact information for me, they would just ask to have me call; why go through all the "cloak and dagger" BS.
