I didn't see my post so I posted again sorry if it's a duplicate. I have 4 pdl 1.little shoppe 2.second wallet 3.arrowhead 4. Paycheck Today I closed my bank account after it was run dry. I On 9-29 I had these four coming out again at $90 each. After I closed the account i repoened a new one at a different bank. Well I have heard from all 4. Arrowhead sent me an email 2 days later saying it was already sent to collection with Icollect. I was devastated. I have pretty good credit with no collections.

It looks like, baring a miracle, I am going to lose my house at the end of the money. Final judgement day is the 12th. I have a car that I am behind on and upside down in. I can get the car caught back up within the next couple of months but part of me wants to say "f" it and just let them have it. Not like my credit will get any worse!!! 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 with 22K miles and owe $11K. For what I have to pay to get caught back up I could buy an inexpensive car outright and save myself $300 a month.

What is the fdcpa law on validating a debt? I have tried to go through the credit buearu to validate some of my credit accounts. two have been removed but there are 3 they say the company verified by saying yes they belong to me. I want more than cause I dont recall having 3 credit cards by the same company issued to me within 1 month time.

My husband is being threatened wage garnishment for medical bills totaling 606.00 from this past spring. will they really do this for such a small amount? i had sent them 25.00 right before i received this, probably crossed in the mail. thanks, TJ

I closed my account in Texas and afraid that I may not be looking at the law correctly. The payday loans are all internet loans and were ACH out of the account. I put a stop payment on all of them so they could not take any money. I am behind on everything. I have multiple loans out and owe a lot of money but I can not keep up do to the interest. If I can just get my stuff caught up then I should be able to make some sort of payments. The bank account is now closed but I do not want them to send them to the county attorney as NSF checks because they were not they were stopped. HELP!

Seems so Simple But, I am not sure the best way to determine last date of activity to verify statute of limitations. If the creditor shows a date other than when yo believe the last activity occured (perhaps reaged) What is the best way to dispute that??? See plenty of sample letters but none that address a full account history on a debt. Do I just do a blanket dispute with the bureau or start with an account history with the creditor???

I got a summons in the mail with no court date. Not sure what to do next. I am in Ohio. I got a summons for a credit card that is my husband's. The summons is in his name only. There is no court date. When I tried to call the attoney I was forwarded to a debt collector working for the firm...had to leave a voicemail. I just asked for her to call me back but left no other info than case number. They are asking for the balance in full. We had successful payment arraangements with this card before. However, the payments were for a 12 month no interest period.
