Hi, Okay, I have a question regarding collection agencies and credit reports. Scenerio: In August of 2006, I enrolled in classes with a private college in Ohio. At that time, I was told that the tution would be paid by student loans, but one week into the classes the Financial Aid Director called me and said the student loans had fallen through and I would need to pay $3,100 for the tution. I told the guy that I did not have that much money and could not afford the classes, but he said that I still had to pay the tution.

I have read this column and it is stated that some loans are illegal. What determines if the loan is legal or illegal? My concerns are: MyPayDAyLoan.com; Check City; USA Web; St. Armand; United Cash; Greensight.com (Goldline Funding) and First Cash Direct. I am drowing in payday loans and the illusion that I can pay them off and not become homeless has faded.

Hi everyone, Unfortunately, a few years ago, I made some poor fiscal choices that snowballed into a financially irresponsible lifestyle. I took steps to correct these mistakes of lack of budgeting, overborrowing, etc. However, I had fallen into the payday lending trap and couldn't get out. I almost climbed to the top of that hole but was then laid off and simultaneously had a major car repair. Fortunately, I had another job lined up but make significantly less $ than before....payday loans are eating away my paycheck and have snowballed into a huge debt.

this is on a credit card that i got through first premier bank that they sold to this dumb company my wife and I have paid it once before now the closed the first one and opened another one with a new open date so can they keep doing this so that this acct stays on my report for the rest of my life this credit card was first delinquent in like 2004 so i am pretty sure it is past the 7 yrs and 180 days. This is just wrong what this company does.

Good morning I was wondering if anyone has any experiance with GreatPlains ? I have just today sent them the ACH revocation letter. I am nervous that they will stil attempt to pull the $$ out. I had originaly gotten a loan for $1000, and have made a total of 10 payments for a total payment to them of $1462.80. I would love to get the refund of the overage, but i doubt that will hapen I would be happy to just have them stop debiting my account. Any comments greatly appreciated!

My son is disabled and has been since age 12 or so he has a student loan but since he has goton worse and can't work because has soritic aurthise in hands and all over

I have a negative report from universal that decreased my credit score by 58 points, which is not good because i am purchasing a home. i was offered an account with fingerhut, but never pursued it and/or opened a credit line. I actually trashed the offer. are there any other companies they work for? how would you pursue action against them and have the report deleted from my account? is this not fraud and can we sue them for negligence and fraud?
