I got payday loans to survive

18 years 5 months ago
About 2 yrs ago I found out my husband was cheating (long story) so needless to say I left. So here I a single mom of two babies (one only 2 wks old) I got payday loans to survive. I have about 5 payday loans out that are pretty old and I haven't paid anything on them. I'm now getting letters from lawyers etc. the scary thing is I struggle just to pay my bills so I can't even make arrangements. $50.00 a month is just too much for me right now. I don't know what to do. I'm afraid they are going to sue me or something and me and my babies will be on the street.

Heck with the AG - I just went in to agreement on PIF 11

Ok - so as I have said before I personally feel obligated to pay off the principle borrowed regardless of how long a history I have had with some of these PDL's. ameriloan was my last holdout - I had only made one payment of $180 on a $600 loan when I defaulted. So in my mind I still owe them $420. Last month their automated system tried to deal with me but it wouldn't go down to just the principle. Well I got an email from them about an hour ago offering a one time deal of $420 to close it out. All principle payment no fees.

Military Financial

I was just recently asked about this company, so I looked them up on their web site. They make things sound so good for the military person, but when I put their phone number in at the BBB site, turns out that they are Magnum Funding and Magnum Cash Advance, and it said this may not be a complete list. So far, for this company name, they have processed 8 complaints in the last 36 months, 2 were closed in the last 12 months. You can go to the BBB site and get all the information. Magnum strikes again this time aiming at our military!

ERS Solutions

I have a serious problem. I have an account with Washington Mutual that went into collections (Because of payday loans). The collection agency, ERS Solutions bought the account. I had set up a payment arrangement with them to take out 197.00 every month until it was paid off. I have paid two payments so far (there was only 2 payments left). The third payment was returned because I didn't have enough money in my account. I called them to try to explain what happened and if there was any way that I could work out a further arrangement with them.

Which laws & codes would this fall under?

18 years 5 months ago
I know about the FCRA and fdcpa, but what would govern Utility companies and companies like wireless internet, satellite or cable TV? The Fair Credit Billing Act seems to govern credit cards. So, I’m a bit lost as to what laws govern those companies?

debt unpaid

18 years 5 months ago
My ex wife and I got a loan together while living in the U.S. We moved to Canada and soon after divorced. My ex agreed to pay the debt (verbally, nothing in a divorce agreement). However she has not paid the debt and now I am being contacted 7 years after the fact. Is there anything that would allow for the company to come after me in another country?

Cash Call is back up and running at full speed

18 years 5 months ago
Well I see that Cash Call is back up and running at full speed. They are loaning to all states now according to their web site. I had been checking to see what was going on. I have a Cash Call loan much to my regret and have kept it current but I included it with my debt consolidation with T&C anyway. I have never had to experience all of their collection calls but have read many posts from people who have. I just can't believe that this can be tolerated. Yes, I know we took the loans but usually when things were financially unstable and this looked like the answer.
