My husband started getting payday loans for quick help but now we seem to be getting buried. I dont know what we are going to do if we dont get some kind of control on these things.Our checks go to these loans with very little left over and no progress on the loans themselves. Is there anything we can do?

Okay...so I mailed and faxed a letter to CTC asking them not to call, etc, etc.....mailed on Tuesday and faxed yesterday. So far I have logged 13 calls ( left 1 message) from the same # since 8:00amPT yesterday. Should I also email them the letter too??

Has anyone had any realtion with these companies?

While at work I received a call from an Indian Gentleman if you want to call him that who proceeded to call my work number several times stating that he is an investigator and they are going to arrest me for fraudulent activity. He called back and called back each time treating one of my co-workers with foul language. He stated that they will have me arrested for a loan I did through Access Processing if I don't pay them $690.00. I told him that I don't have that kind of money. I offered to set up a payment plan he laughed at me and called me some nasty names. Who is Access Processing?

Two payday lenders - Midland Market and B&L - show up on my bank statement. I lost my original email from them and the bank has no contact info. They take $60 every payday and I want to pay them off now but don't know how. Can you help?

I'd like to know about SOL-related. I was in California where SOL is 4 years. Now I relocated to New York where SOL is 6 years. Let's say, the last account activity is in Non. 2003, so, SOL in California expires in Dec. 2007. Yet, before it is expired, I moved to New York. Does it mean that the collector can go after me until Dec. 2009? I should have known of it before I relocated.

I was digging into my credit report in more detail this morning, and have a question about "re-aging". The OC in my case with Genesee Valley shows date of last payment being 3/2003! This is completely inaccurate! I KNOW for a fact that my last payment was made at the beginning of 2001! Is this the date they sold the account off? Or is this a case of them "re-aging" my account! Either way, the SOL is out...but I'm trying to figure out how long this thing will remain on my report.

I know I have things on my credit that are older than my states statute of limitations (MA=6 years) but when dealing with collection agencies, they have told me that the old account was bought by some other company. Does this restart the "7 years" that something stays on your credit, because it was purchased by a new company? Also, my sister just told me that someone called her number- which I have never given out as a reference or to anyone for any reason, and asked for me. The message left a callback number and an ID code.

Has any one dealt with the above? I believe it is some sort of CA. They left a message on my answering machine, but the nasty tone mixed with the heavy accent made it almost impossible to understand
