I have a very unusual situation and hopefully I can get some good advice here. I will try to make a long story short. Parents lost large business 10 years ago, six years later still couldn't get it together so I remortgaged my house and helped them start a business. He kept taking bad jobs and losing money so I left after three years. Walked away from a lot of owed money and 50% of the business. That upset him and he has been pretty bad ever since (going under again) Thats the basic rundown gets really messy in between those lines.

How can being reported to check system effect you where a job that wants to do a credit and is specifically looking for fraud but the report from telecheck says "suspected fraud. Can that stop you from getting the job?

i had 4 student loans out back in 2006 and 2007 i checked my credit report a month ago and the loans where on there i just checked my credit again and its showing 4 other student loans that where open 2/21/2012 loan was for a month but now they are closed i havent been in school since 2010 what does it mean when it says the loan was open in 2012 does it mean i took a loan out for that month.

My mother received a collection letter from ARA Inc stating she owes $4300 to Household Finance with an approved settlement amount of $2100 and accepted monthly payments of $50. She does not recall having an acount with Household Finacne or what it could be. She called to find additional information about this. The person didn't give the name of the company nor give her name to my mother. My mother didn't think to ask either. After talking with the person and being transferred to the fraud department, this is where the situation gets a little weird like it is a scam.
