I sent them a cease and desist letter through email yesturday with MY payment arrangements offered and how I want to pay the $400 PDL off before the one for $900 I have with them. Here's what they had to say about that: Dear litlee, (my name removed by myself) Payment Plan Confirmation Customer ID#: xxxxxxxx (my account # also removed by myself) This email is to confirm that you have agreed to payment arrangements for your past due advance with us. Per your arrangement, your next payment date is July 27, 2007 Please make sure that your payment is made in a timely fashion.

If you are being harassed or threatened by a collection company, please place their name and contact information in this thread. Then, please file an online complaint with the Attorney General in the state that they are located.

I want to be debt free, but I am a little worried about all the programs out there....not sure which one to pick or which ones are credible and not a scam. Any advice would be heaven sent. Thank you very much in advance!

what is the best way to go about consolidating your debt with out being scammed?

I was in touch with two debit companies today one was Bella Financial out of Dallas TX, the other was Superior Debt Services in OK. Superior Debt Services offered credit repair help after you pay off your debt. Both companies charged 15% of the total debt as their fee and they said they could reduce my debt to only 40% of what I owe. Have you all heard of either of these companies, Bella Financial and Superior and if so what do you think, they both invited me to look at their links on the BBB.

If you read my previous post regarding response from the AG, I was reassuring everyone that the AG does respond and not to get discouraged. I stated that I had filed MANY complaints and I received one big envelope from them a few days ago with responses for 7 complaints in it. Today I received 1 more response from the AG. I filed them almost all at the same time. So they are slowing trickling in now. I posted last time that in my state (I'm not sure of everyone's state) that they allow the company 30 days to respond to them. So, it'll take time but they are on it.

Hello, I am new to the forum and I was very excited to find this website. I live in Florida and I currently have 13 loans that I defaulted because I could not pay them anymore. I closed the account on Friday - it shows account close but all these payday loans came in and they are pending to be cleared. (?) I have to call the bank on Monday to see what happened.

Hi all.. could anyone out there lend me some advice... I am in Ohio & loans with Checksmart, Express PRA and Check Exchange. Checksmart and Express are sister companies - same corporate :twisted: - who just yell and scream at you until they get their money. And advice on how to handle them? I tried to work out arrangements with them and told them they had to allow me to make payments - he laughed and said I'm ending this call now. HELP PLEASE! This will cause a divorce if I can't get it straightened out very quickly.
