Has anyone filed 13 and what is the meeting of the creditors like? I am just nervous.

This company left me a message on my answering machine and I contacted them today. I was given one hour to come up with over $4000.00 and call them back with my checking account number and routing number or I would be sued with garnishments and a lien on my house. I contacted Sears who the debt is with and they told me that the account was turned over to Sherman Collections on 7/3/07. I called Sherman and was told that the account was not even in legal action and that NES should not have done what they did. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely, Drew

Ok, so I filed with AG, BBB, DFI, and FTC on these guys and no word from them. I defaulted in May, and I only got 1 phone call from these people since then. I had faxed and sent them an email directly. The BBB is giving them until July 19th to respond. I am getting worried they may do the arbitration thing like they did to kscornell. :( I took out a $200 loan with them and paid $540. I closed my bank account, so I have no idea if they've been trying to hit it with more attempts or not.

I started with Hess and Kennedy last August and I paid my full amount. Now ameriloan is calling my job saying they they never got a call from HK about the situation. HK said that I can tell them to stop calling my job and tell them that it is against the law to call but they keep calling. I am so mad at HK. I cannot afford to pay twice. I asked Ameriloan why they can take my money and not HK and the just said that they are recording me and that they will not accept payment form them. Can i get a refund from HK? What is the best way to do this?

Okay, so I got sent to collections from Rio Resources, and got sent to Accounts Recievable Management of Florida. I sent a debt validation letter and a cease and desist letter, Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested. I know that they recieved the letter, as I tracked it, but I haven't gotten the green card back. I haven't heard anything from them, and I sent the debt validation letter back before the 4 of the July, like I think the last week in June. So, what happens now? Do they report me to the credit bureaus? Anyone had any experience with this?

Our credit card payments are getting too much for us to handle and am interested in enrolling into a settlement program. Is this a wise decision? I'm nervous as I do not know much about all of the pros and cons. Thanks for you help.

I live in Minnesota and have payday loans that I would like to stop having directly taken out of my checking account and just send them the money. It is chocking me. The $90.00 per pay period that I have to pay on a $300.00 loan is bleeding me dry. What do I do to get them to stop taking out of my account. Sometimes the withdrawal has been taken out on the wrong day and I end up with overdrafts. One pdl did reimburse me for the overdrafts that they caused. How can I pay everything with one payment.

I just received a voicemail from a lady that claims she is the store manager at this PDL. She said she received my fax and that she is "disregarding the whole thing." That we can act like we know what we are talking about but we are completely wrong. That she will continue to attempt to withdrawal from my account, because they can. She will continue to call us, because she can. She was beyond nasty! Any suggestions?
