while in a settlement program can a creditor file a garnishment on you

Hi, I am a 24 yr old mother. My daughter's birthday was coming up and I didn't have the money to give or get her what she needed, so I respond to one of those loan company online. I got 200.00 deposit into my account within 24 hrs. They have draft 159.95 and 3 days later took out 60.00 more. What am I supposed to do when my account is in the negative now because I wasn't given enough time to put anything back into yet. COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE?????????????????????

Hi guys, Sorry, I'm feeling a bit blue today, and needed some friendly words. I'm very close with my mom, and I have been working two jobs so I can get out of debt quicker. So, this week is bastille days in Milwaukee, and we usually go together, just me and her, some quality bonding time. But, I have to work at my 2nd job that night, so I can't go. I don't know why I'm so emotional over it, just probably tired. Just needed some friendly words today.

I am finally down to 1 payday loan from 5. I have paid back $1372.00. I didn't think I could do it but I did it. It's been hard and quite a struggle. I am on a repayment plan to my mortgage company and have finally gotten my other bills up to date. Even had my electricity cut off for 1 day but I did not step foot into a payday loan place. I dont have a checking account now but that's okay. I could not have done it without the advice of this wesbite. :D

if i join a settlement program can the companies i owe file a wage garnishment aganist me?

My wife has a storefront payday loan in which she owes about 100.00 and they are making collection visits to the home. Can this company do this even if they are told to cease?

Hi again everyone, I posted yesterday and received some great advice. I realize that the best way to handle these scumbags is to close your account, revoke their ACH privileges and work from there. However, I can't risk taking a chance that they will call my HR department at my job and harrass them. I do not want to go throught that embarrassment. I am prepared to pay them all in full in the next week or so. I plan at that point filing complaints with the BBB and AG, and maybe the FTC as well.

As I have read other threads on this site, I am thankful that I am not alone in the trap of payday loans. It is a constant cycle that I am ready to break. I am getting seperated from my husband and will be raising three kids. I know I could make it with my income with I could at least get back to ground zero and away from these loans. Most of my income now just pays fees and interest. I am in Ohio and I owe a mixture of internet and storefront pdls. I have 7 out now. I was looking for a company that could consolidate them into one monthly payment.

I have said thank you for this forum many times in the short time I have been here...but a few days ago I was ready to throw in the towel and quit...make arrangements to pay what they wanted and be done. But do to the encouragement I got from Cannr and Bflow and several others here recently I am fighting...and have my first pif. I just wanted to reinerate...there is strength here and I am so grateful!!!!

There has been recent dicussion regarding point manipulation and while I am sure the guru's behind the scenes are doing what they can to make sure this doesn't happen again I want to shift the focus. Can you imagine tha amount of time it takes out of ones day to create new log ons and then manipulate the points for gain.
