Beware. I guess creditors interchange is really feeling their pockets getting lighter because now they are calling people and claiming they are either MBNA Arbitration Lawyers or from the Loss Prevention Department of a debt settlement Company. They tell the caller that MBNA or Bank of America does not settle with anyone and that you need to call a girl named "Tiffany" at creditors interchange. This is not only violative of fdcpa, but is also interstate fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C.

I was interested in finding out about debt consolidation. I went to college and only finished one semester which left me with a lot of debts from loans and credit cards which some of them have been sent to collectors. I recently had a child and it has been hard to pay all of these bills so they have been neglected for a couple of years. credit card-high percent rates killing me

Ok here is the million dollar question. If these are all the same company am I liable for the principle with each one? I have overpaid on some and still owe principle on two. Should I start making payments on those two or hold out for the NY AG to help and see if I can consolidate all the pluses and minuses and just PIF them all? I'm sure I won't see any refunds from the these yahoos so I don't want to throw more money down if I legally have them grouped together. What do you think experts?
