I took all your advice yesterday and just concentrated on one PDL today. I picked Speedypayday I started off by filling out the UTAH state complaint form I had found online, printed and faxed it on its way. Then I went back online and tried to login but it wouldn't let me. So...I called customer service. I started off by telling them that I had called numerous times before and that I had overpaid my loan so I had stopped payments and just wanted to see if they had called in a PIF. She put me on hold and said she had to call the main office.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of this payday loan. I also called the bussiness regulator in rhode island and they said i would have to pay the interest charges on where company is located is this correct?

I received a letter in the mail from credigy stating that I owe on an Associate credit card. I contacted the office today to request that they validate the debt. I was told that the letter they sent me validate the debt. I told the rep that does not tell me anything and they need to prove to me that this is my debt because this is not my debt. Her response was that I need to prove that this is not my debt because it's a debt from 2001. Is that true? Do I have to prove to her that this is not my debt? She said that because they are third party, they do not have to prove that this is my debt.

I received a letter from MCM saying they bought an old Citibank debt. I sent them a letter back disputing the validity of th debt and asking for account information.They sent me back a letter offering to reduce the debt by a substantial amount if I paid it off within 3 weeks.They also sent me a Visa card that they call reloadable. But they did not give me specific information about the debt.Are they for real and how can I prevent them from attaching my bank account and giving negative credit reports

Does anyone know of a way to find out the owner of a cell phone if you know their number? I see many sites for reverse lookups for cell phones but they charge almost 100 bucks. All of the free reverse phone number sites have a fee after you put in the phone number. Anywho.com or whitepages.com or any of that stuff does not work since you have to pay to get a report. Are there any ACTUAL free ones out there?

I was speaking with a neighbor last night listening to her complain about bills and thinking of using a payday loan. I came clean and told her the mess I had created and what I was doing to try to clear it up. She was sympathetic and I think I stopped her from doing the pdl thing. But when I got home from work tonight...she left a note on my door saying a friend of hers was a para-legal...and he said if you signed a contract, even if it was over the 'net...you are required by law to fulfill it. Does that negate everything we are trying to do??
