My responsibility to keep the board clean

18 years 7 months ago
I am taking this as my responsibility to delete all the topics showing a negative impact on the new visitors. If you have any questions or problems, please send me a PM or an email. I will be ready to answer. If there is anything negative on the open board, I will continue to delete without notifying anyone. It's my personal decision for keeping it clean.. And it's much needed right now! Thanks for your understanding. Regards Mike

Served papers

I was just served a 20 days summons for a paydayloan (I believe). The amount is for $795 through National Credit. I took out a couple of payday loans in early 2006 and this is one of them that I didn't pay back. I paid back all but this one. The summons is asking for a written response to be filed with the district court and the plaintiff within 20 days or the court finds for the plaintiff. What is the next step I should take? I've left some messages for an attorney as I would rather not have my wages garnished and would like to see a repayment plan.

Please stop

I don't even know what else to say. At the risk of making people angry, I need to speak my mind. This board looks like hell right now. There are personal attacks and accusations everywhere. If I were a new member I wouldn't be coming back. I don't know the specifics of the situation. I've gathered that it made some people angry..Maybe they're entitled to be angry, I simply DON'T KNOW, so I'm not going to wager a guess. I just think enough is enough. It's been going on for too long, it looks like everyone got what they wanted. When will it end?

18 years 7 months ago
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I need some serious help with paydayloans. I currently have 13 active payday loans. I can't afford to pay them anymore, all of my bills are getting more and more behind and I don't even sleep anymore. I have to keep taking out loans to pay other loan fees and it's getting worse and worse. My entire checks disappear to payday loans. These are the loans and amounts I have outstanding. How can I stop this madness? I live in California. Please help me!!!

Loans with built-in renewals

18 years 7 months ago
I read "Loans with built-in renewals: If your online payday loan has built-in loan renewals, the lender cannot require you to pay electronically under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA at 15 U.S.C. 1693a(9)). You have the right both to stop payment on a specific withdrawal and to revoke authorization for all future withdrawals by a lender. In both cases, the bank can impose its stop payment fee." As well as community members talking about form letters to send.

Medicredit: Why is it listed on my credit report?

18 years 7 months ago
My name is Angela and I just signed up to recieve free credit reports from experian each month. Looking through my first report just now I noticed a supposed debt to a Medicredit Corporation. I have no idea who this is or how to go about finding out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find out what this debt is? The debt was marked with a KD as of August 01. (I'm not all that sure what the KD means, although I read the legend...) So it seems it would be an old debt, except I didn't have any credit then except my car.
