I wanted to post to say thank you for the knowledge and POWER to get out of these payday loans. I simply copied the letter you guys suggested and just sent them off. some companies tried to strong arm me but I held firm and only paid back the principal of what was left, and even got a $450 refund from Loan Shop (they were the easiest to deal with) Ameriloan, United Cash Loans, and Magnum just simply stopped debiting and when I log into my account it says thank you for your business, if you have any questions please feel free to call us.

I live in PA. So while in the process of trying to figure out what to do with my MyCashNow.com Payday loan, they transferred it to a collections agency called Credit Protection Depot. I called Credit Protection Depot, and they are demanding I pay the entire PDL balance (principle plus crazy fees). MyCashNow had access to my bank account, can they transfer that access to Credit Protection Depot? Should I worry? Thanks!

I received a phone call from Landmark stating I would be served with a summons for 2 counts. 1 for check fraud and another for worthless check. I called to see what the issue was, as I haven't used my maiden name in 7 years. The man on the other end of the line refused t give me his company address, his location, and refused to send me a letter of dunning. He stated they don't do that. They weren't a collection agency. His job was to inform me of the issues and serve me with a summons if I refused to co-operate with making a payment arrangement.
