Hi, though I am new to this forum, i've done my share of reading. Here's a quick summary of the problem that i'm dealing with: Being from Europe, it's been incredibly difficult to establish some sort of credit rating. I accepted an offer from Providian to obtain a Visa back in 2000 and used the card diligently always paying off my balance in full - each month. The rep that answered my phone call upon signing up talked me into purchasing "Credit Protection". Shortly after the events of 9/11 i got laid off and immediately contacted Providian to activate my credit protection.

I have the same problems as most on this site with CACV and inflated debt. I have a pre-trial conference date set and need to know what to do about the pre-trial order. From my research I believe that I should have been allowed 45 days from the end of my 30 response period to prepare for this. Also, I have requested and not yet received all of the account info. that this site suggested. Is there a motion I can file and can I also file a for a continuance since I cannot prepare my pretrial order without any information?

There are a few of you who know how I've been sick over Andrew being gone for a week..Some of you know that the stress level put me in the hospital last week. Maybe it's you guys propping me up, like the fun-fest I've been having with Steelers, Mishele, and Irish; or maybe it's the anxiety meds..or both..But I'm under control now. Andrew is doing great in California! I talked to him a little while ago, he is so excited! Now maybe I can enjoy this week a little more. A big thank you to my friends for your support!!

In June 2005 I sent a request for Validation to Asset Acceptance, about ten days later I received a letter from their Staff Attorney, Carrie Taylor, stating that she had reviewed the claim and it SOL was still applicable (SOL expired in Sept of 05). That she had requested the necessary documents from MBNA and they would be forwarded on to me. During that time frame I was recovering from shoulder surgery, separating from my wife, finding a place to live and arranging the custody of the kids.

I've been reading the forums for awhile now and learning bits here and there on how I can handle my debt. I currently have 4 different credit cards that I haven't paid on for at least 2 years and I want to pay these off, but I don't want to over pay and I specially don't want to give the money to the wrong people. I sent out DV letters to three of the companies that have been contacting me and I've looked at my credit report.

my payday loans are out of control. i tried someone else, but it wasn't good. i need 1 monthly payment i can afford is there hpoe?
