I got a letter from attorneys Eskanos and Adler today. They are trying to collect a $5,000 debt for Capital One Bank. Has anyone ever dealt with them before? What was your experiences? Do you think its likely that they will sue me for this debt? I would like to resolve this debt with Capital One if it is all possible but Capital One wont talk to me.

I have a charged off account with MBNA that is supposed to fall off my credit report on 10/2009. I really haven't heard anything from the CA either or any phone calls in the past 5 years. The amount with the late fees and interest at the end made it a around 6k. I would like to take of it, but realistically I have medical bills that are more of a priority because they are still being currently updated as derogatory.

hey guys and gals, i have about 15k in credit debt, (13 of which in student loan but im not too worried about that) anyways though im maxed out like two years in late payments so im not worried about my score getting anyworse, my question is, if i settled like most of that 15 k debt, would it help my score? if so, lets say all 15 k of deby i settled in one way or other, and my score is 504 right now, what might my score go to? thanks guys

I started the process with NY Attorney General and they told me also to report my PDL activity with the US Secret Service. They are closed for the weekend but the operator told me to call back Monday morning.

Hi everyone... I will not be on for a while. I have to make the trip this weekend to take my boys to their dad's for the summer. Normally, we meet halfway (we live a few states apart), but he called late last night to say his mother (86 yrs old) is going downhill and he really would like the boys to see her before something happens. With that in mind, he has asked me to make a much longer trip than I had originally planned. More like me going 90% of the way to his state, rather than meeting halfway. This will allow him to pick up the boys and head to the state his mother is in.

An agent from my state's DFI sent them a letter a couple of days ago and I sent them an email of my complaint. I also filed with the BBB and FTC as well. No response as of late.
