1-888-801-9078 - Has anyone worked with Cash Net USA?

18 years 8 months ago
Hello again, I thought it might be helpful for people to see the responses I'm getting from different pdl companies, this one's from CashNet USA. I took out a loan for $500 on 5/18 and they were going to debit $655.55 on 6/1. My loan defaulted b/c I froze my account. They emailed me the following: Quote:
Dear Notice of Payment Past Due Customer ID#: 10313042 Total Amount Due: $655.55 You have received one or more cash advances from us which are currently past due for payment.

Can I go to jail???

18 years 8 months ago
I left the states almost a year ago and intended to pay off my debts but failed to do so because my husband and I (living overseas now) started having financial difficulties where we are now (no debts overseas though). I owe two credit cards (one 5,000 and the other 2,000) and a few medical bills that add up to 2,000. Some people have told me that if I don´t pay anything I will go to jail. I am trying to find a job to pay my debts but we don´t have any money at the moment, not even to buy groceries. Can they really sue me if I don´t have a job? I am really scared.

Too ashamed to tell

18 years 8 months ago
My story is probably like many others. I started out with a little debt and ended up with much more than I can handle. I was at one time very aware of what I spent and managed it very well. I am now over $70,000 in debt. Much of it comes from trying to get out of debt like taking online courses to start another career, paying a large amount for a "Get Out Of Debt" program after paying off two cards fully, and transferring balances to an unsecured loan that increased the interest rates when I missed one payment and also charged a late fee.

Response from PayDayOK

18 years 8 months ago
Hello Everyone, Just letting you know that yesterday I sent an email to PayDayOK after receiving a 'past due payment notice'. Here is what I sent them - Quote:
To Whom it May Concern, Please mark my account PAID IN FULL. I have calculated my payments and I have paid back what I legally owe you. To date I have paid over $700 on a $500 loan. I have CLOSED my checking account you debited from because of some other unauthorized transactions. Please cease all communications with me and mark my account Paid in Full.

Update on World Wide Cash

18 years 8 months ago
Well, I had overpaid on several loans on them, and ended up defaulting on my last and fourth loan. I had calculated about receiving a $400 refund. So I sent the request for pif status and a refund on Tuesday evening via email. I get a call from the rep this morning, and they won't charge any more interest fees, and they won't give me a refund.

Mediator Hearing

18 years 8 months ago
I am with Town and Country and I received a notice from the court for a mediator hearing in my county. I called T&C yesterday and told them to send me everything about the company they have done so far. Should I bring anything else to this mediator hearing? The letter from the court told me what time and what room but nothing else. This hearing is for a storefront pdl. I believe this is to try to settle before a court date is assigned. Has anybody been to a mediator hearing and what can I expect to happen?

Debt Settlement when we were definitely drowning in debt

18 years 8 months ago
I wasn't behind on any of our payments when I decided to do a debt settlement but we were definitely drowning in debt. Over $400 a month was going to pay credit card payments and that was just minimum payments without really decreasing the balance on the accounts. I want to know if anyone else has been in this situation and give advice on whether I did the right thing or not. I know my credit is going to take an initial hit, but we aren't going to be able to make it financially making these payments.
