How does this law impact collection agencies regarding unauthorized 3rd party disclosure? Or maybe it's better to ask how it has impacted collection agencies?

these people have taken out 290.00 out of my husbands account and I'm pissed.

I am trying to get out of my overcharged payday loans. I want to file the "polly" letter with the pdl people, but my main concern is the calls to work. I can handle the calls to my personal phone, but my employer does not allow personal calls at work. I can lose my job over it. Is it Guaranteed that those companies WON'T call my work once I send it in? How exactly do you file a complaint with the state AG? I just want to get all my facts together before I get started and in over my head.

we are in need of finding someone to help us with this loan company...we are in pa and we are being taken like kids...i ahve no clue where to begin and what to do...we have paid 30.00 a week for 24 weeks now since nov 15, 2006 on a 200.00 loan which we have now to date paid 720.00 on this loan what the heck do we do about getting them to stop and repay the extra mooney...pleasse i beg anyone to help me

I am slowly getting myself out of the payday loan mess and also paying off one of my credit cards in full by Sept/October of this year. When I pay off my credit card, this will free up $200 a month to pay towards other bills. The rest of my cc debt is manageable, only 3K. Miraculously, after the debacle of having 13 payday loans out, between my fiance and my 10 credit card accounts, and 1 store card, we are now only delinquent on 3 accounts, and two of those I've been able to make some progress this month! I had posted this query a different way, but hadn't received a response.

I just viewed my credit report from equifax and I found an account on there that looks fishy. There is no phone number for this company it only says this: CREDIT MANAGEMENT LP Address: 4200 INTERNATIONAL PKWY CARROLLTON, TX 75007 No phone number available I contacted the company that it said the original debt is through & they couldn't find any evidence of an account sent to collections. They gave me a corporate phone number to call in the morning to find out for sure.

I've been e-mailin my pdl companies all day for an original copy of the loan agreement I entered into w/ them........the only one that has complied was direct express cash. The others I'm getting the run around or no response at all. The loan shop keeps telling me I have to sign a financial release form before I can see my own contract which has to be notarized..g and B&L just keeps sending account summaries. SJM hasn't responsed at all.
