Hello I've been in court since last August in the Bronx NYC arguing a $11775 hospital bill that was from dec 2005( the case was filed 4 months before the SOL ran out )I've done everything I could to prove I shouldn't have to pay this but I'm at the point where I'm willing to settle. On my last court date in July the lawyer for the hospital wanted me to apply for charity care which if I was approved would pay 10-80% of the bill. After looking up the requirements I found out that you can't make more than 300% poverty level which is like $25k a year.

I live in NC. As of tonight I have 6 (count 'em!) PDLs: mycashnow (killer - borrowed 1100, pd 1000, owe 1400!!!) Cash Call (formerly Western Sky) Great Plains Plain Green Loans Advanced Me Today usa money shop current on all, but I am in pdl hell trying to keep up. The last 2 loans were just to keep up with payments, without falling behind on mortgage, etc. But I can't keep this up. I am a wreck. I have decided to close existing bank acct, send letters to cancel ACH permission, cancel anything else like wage attachments (not sure if I have them, etc.

2008 September 18, I made my last payment. filed paper work with a debt settlement compamy. untill last month i thought American express was paid off, then last month i started recieving phone calls from AE . Have not talked with them. Will they sue me? or let it go because of the statues of limitions?

if I pay a debt how long before it will be removed from my credit reporting?

Just got my letter back from Elisha at cash call and letter states loan is valid and debt is owed and I have been turned over to delbert services a collection company for cash call. The original loan was for 5,000 and I have paid over 11,000. Any suggestions for the next step.

I took out a pdl from my cash now (unlicensed in Wa State). The loan I took out was $1,000. I have paid back 1505.40. In Wa state the limit is 700 for any one loan and they are not licensed in Wa State. There is also a cease and desist order from the Wa state dept of financial institutions. I have sent them an email like one of your examples and have closed my bank account. My question is can they come after me for not paying any more interest. I did ask them for a refund. I really appreciate it if some one can help me with the answer. I did explain everything to my bank. Thank you.

Hi, here in California.. question, anyone know what best route to go would be.. I have an installment loan with Check 'N Go which is due bi-weekly on my Friday paydays. I couldn't get there this last Friday and didn't have a chance to call them. I went in the next day on Saturday and they wouldn't take the payment, said it had already been ACH'd for non-payment!! I was like really, one day? Anyways, I don't know if this is actually a good thing, because it was costing me $308 every two weeks, and the balance wasn't really going down, all interest.
