I am seriously considering going the chapter 13 route...as I feel it is my best option, since I have ALOT of cc debt due to medical issues (back). Have tried to work with the different cc companies and that has been worthless... My questions is, can my filing for chapter 13 have any affect on my soon to be junior in HS possibility of getting student loans/grants, etc...for college? I have been searching for answers on this question and so far have not had much success so thought I would broach the subject here. Thanks for any replies.

Just wanted everyone to know that I had my stress test today and even though it did show some palpatations, it is nothing serious. Not life threatening or anything like that, so I guess I now have to wait and see what the doctor is going to do when I go back in on June 14th. He has me on Lexapro right now, but doesn't really seem to be doing to much, but only been on it for about a week, so I will give it a bit longer and see what happens. (still don't have my HOF emblem under my name. :( )

well i do have about a 2,500.00 apartment lease on my credit that i got stuck with when i was 18 because my friends stoped paying rent. and i have two different bank accounts that went bad because i was a young kid who didn't know the meaning of a dollar. never held a job. and i have a cell phone for a thousand dollars that is on my mothers name that said i kept making calls when i didn't. so i would love to get that off of her credit.

I need your take on the spam topics coming in the forums. If you see someone has posted replies to the spam "thanks" topics and because of it, those moderating their boards don't delete the entire thread, all these topics will stay here and won't do any help. Besides, it will look bad if after every seven to ten topics, there's a topic called "thanks" saying good website and visit theirs. So, tell me if it's ok deleting the whole topic even after replies are posted. If you'll agree, the mods can start deleting them. :) Regards Mike

This company is a scam. I took out a pdl through a different company via internet. I also received a deposit of $250.00 into my account of an unknown pdl company. Therefore, I watched my account to see the withdraws. SGQ started withdrawing $75 twice a month. I have called to stop this withdraw that now adds up the $750.00 and AJ @ SGQ stated I have not even paid the loan back yet of $250. He also stated that the $75 were just finance charges for not paying the loan back. He said I never filled out the paperwork to tell SGQ how to withdraw the money.

Hello everyone! I've been reading through all the posts about IL laws and GFSIL - and I'm confused and hoping to get some answers from others who have been where I am. I have a $200 loan with GFSIL. Of course they're telling me that though I've paid $200 already (well at least $150 - the other $50 payment came through on my bank account as GFS - but I'm 99% sure that it was them too!) - Anyway, they're still telling me I owe them another $300! They're calling me almost a dozen times a day.

I cant find the correct link to file a complaint. Can someone direct me in the right direction? Thanks!

I was recently contacted by that thug, who goes as Mr. David, threatening me with being sued for a bogus 900 charge that I had taken care of years ago. I almost went for it. These are nothing but crooks who buy up old phone records and try to steal money from people who had been billed eroneously to begin with. They threaten to ruin your credit and such. What scumbags. I am so glad I did not send those crooks a dime after googling the name and finding out about them on this forum.
