I recieved a phone call this morning from FTR processing company stating I have an outstanding balcance and that I needed to pay before they filed a judgment against me. The guy was not able to tell me who the debtor is asking for $200 a month for the next 3 months. Does this sound legit? I am afraid because I gave all my bank information. I have a bad feeling about this.

can you turn in a bad debt on the same person , same debt into two collection agencies so when one agency has to file in court the other agency can collect for you?

this very scenario is occurring with me right now!. the only difference i see is that my debt has fallen off the credit reports (obviously over seven years) and is outside the SOL. i dv'd convergent...have received nothing, but today got a call (did not answer) from resurgent. i read so many conflicting things. if i receive letter from resurgent, i will dv them and also parent company. my real question is: don't they know this is beyond SOL? if it is not on my credit report, it was charged off 7.5 years ago....meaning late 2004, early 2005.

I receive multiple calls from them , asking for personal information to give me more details, I refuse. I have amassed tons of medical bills that are all in payment schedules and no problem with any one, what could this be? A scham?

I read the blogs and am wondering if Cash Direct Express is actually allowed in the State of New Mexico, because I read in one of the blogs that they were not allowed in certain states and had to close the accounts. Thanks! daddycool

Im in michigan the loan was for $900 and I have paid $1165.00 over the principal Ive did all what needed to be done closed account cease and desist, ask for a refund. Today got a call saying I was not getting a refund and that I should check the GAT law because they dont have to lincend state to state and that i still needed to pay back the $900 dollars and had until 4pm today to respond. I have been looking at this board for a couple of weeks and I have finally decided to take action and stop this trap that I am in. I have been going through the cycle of payday loans for a little of a year and I am done. All of my payday loans have been paid for on the principle balance and on most, a lot more than what the principle balance was. So, I am done! I do have a few questions that I haven't found on the boards.
