Did a really stupid thing and got a loan with Cash Call out of Califorina. I had planned on paying it off completely but life happend now im stuck and recently lost my job due to a lay off. They hit you with a 59% interest rate. Best advice dont ever do business with Cash Call. They take atvantage of people needing help. My payments are current but i have paid the price for a dumb decision.

I got a letter from a collector for an account from 20 yrs age--all it has is name and amount, account #. What do I do?

I just paid off United Cash Loans today! I owed them $204 and paid them. I feel better already! I have Cashnet USA to pay tomorrow! I'm on my way! Slowly but surely!

I went to my Paycheck Today account today and it says "We have your payment arrangements and this will confirm that $ .00 will be deducted from your account on 5/14/2007." Then next to it is a link that says "Reactivate My Loan". I sent them a revokation letter and everything, but I haven't heard anything back. I preceive this to mean that my loan is paid....what do you guys think??

Hi, I got myself in to a little bit of debt and want to get things straightened out. I had kids and had to stop working so I wasnt able to pay my credit cards and now that I am working I want to get back on track. I received a summons on apr. 25 from Atlantic Credit & Finance Co. which was a notice of Case Management Review scheduled for Aug. 14. This is apparently for an HSBC credit card that I could no longer pay on that was subsequently charged off in March of 2006. They are suing for $3947 (the amount charged off), plus interest and attorney fees. According to the summons, I have 30 days from Apr. 25 to file "a written response to the court and to have a copy served on the plaintiff". This means I have to file this within the next week or so.

Debtinwi, Can you tell me how you researched to find what companies were liscensed to lend in WI. I am in Wisconsin, and I have a few internet PDLs that I consolidated with T&C. But if they are illegal, I will try and get a PIF.

In the midst of all these PDL problems there is this one company, NetCashUSA that seems to be reasonable, licensed and plays by the rules. They have not tried to extort money from me. Have charged a reasonable rate and just sent me a last chance settlement offer before they sell me off to a CA. I am going to call them and explain that I can't do a lump sum payment and would like an installment agreement of an amount I have not dtermined yet. Has anyone had any bad experince with them. They seem to be an exception to the rule. I am leaving work right now so I will read this tomorrow AM.
