I was an international student about 13 years ago and I had 2 credit cards from two different banks in the US. I paid off all my bills and closed my accounts after I graduated from school and went back to my country. Recently I came back a job interview and found out that there are more than 10 serious deliquencies that come to about $30,000 shown on my credit report. I wrote in to dispute them, but many of them came back as verified as shown on my credit report. What should I do? Thanks.

Hello, just to let you know. I received a phone call from, well actually I'm not sure what company they were with. Anyway, they called me this morning at my place of work, and she Ellen Char was representing M1Y direct. She told me that there were 2 charges pending against me by M1Y direct,1) misuse of federal funds 2) default in breach of contract, there were several more as well. She was telling me that they (M1Y Direct had turned my account over to a company called I Collect (a debt broker), M1Y was claiming they tried to withdraw funds for my loan from my checking account.

I, like so many others on this site have gotten in way over my head in payday loans, but luckily I am fixing to pay the majority of them off. The one right now I am having problems with is JD MARKETING. The original loan was $300, and soo far I have paid them $690 with a payoff balance of $390. I have heard from others on this site about contacting the attorney general, but I don't know what to say to them and I also don't know what Texas laws are concerning this. ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ok, so about two weeks ago I was majorly distraught over an ever growing problem I had with Internet PayDay Loans- I had about 10 and I couldn't afford to pay them any longer. I came across this wonderful site and followed advice I was able to glean from a number of posts and now I am happy to say that I am on the road to freedom!
