my friend has lot of charge off as bad debt but the estimate date they will be drop is august 2007. should i write the credit bureau to let them to drop them or should contact the creditor to drop

Hi, I'm in the typical falling behind pickle. I'm about 30-60 days behind on all my 6 credit cards, and 5 personal loans. plus i'm 40 days down on my car loan. I also have 5 PDLs out as well! I need to do something fast here...I dont want to go the BK route (did a chapter 7 6 years ago)...Question: is what is the difference betweeen debt consolidation vs. settlement? which is better? which ruins my credit more? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont sleep at night, and I'm looking for a 2nd job now...thanks!

I spoke with someone this morning from Arrowhead Investments named Ron Reynolds. He was very rude to me called me a whole bunch of names and then threatened to make me pay 3,000 when my initial loan was only 300.00 This is my first communication with this company and I have not been in default and he immediately because he didn't like my attitude says that he will not accept any monies from me if I try to pay and that he is immediately putting my account in investigations. Can he do this? He claims I committed fraud on my application. This is not true.

Do I have to send a copy of my 13 disharge letter to each of the 3 credit reporting companies or will they automatically be notified of the discharge? And how long before they update their records to reflect the discharge?

Is there anyone out there who can advise on when I send a repo deficiency letter. History: auto repo last June: The day my car was hooked up OC wouldnt accept my offer to pay 2 more payments in 2 days but the thing that bothered me at the time was they sat on a check that I sent a week before the third month late would be due (the day car was repo), OC denied getting the check. Why didn't I fight it?
