I sent Validation of debt request to arbitration lawyers who have my creditor-does the sample cease and desist also appropiate for arbitration lawyers?

I had a loan through Money World Lending. They rolled it over more than three times, and they are not licensed in Oregon. When my account was closed, and I defaulted on the loan I had already paid 450.00. I was getting phone calls at work, and would be in tears by the time I hung up. One day I got one from a Cindy Parker with Processing, She told me she was doing an investigation with the FBI, and that I had admitted to fraud. I tried to call back several times because I thought something sounded funny.

How long does it usually take for the BBB to respond to a complaint? And what kind of results have you seen with the BBB when it comes to them contacting PDL companies? Also, when you file with the BBB, what kind of information do you give them? Do you have any example complaints you can show me? :?: :?: :?: Thanks!!!! :D

My boyfriend (now my fiance), had moved up from Florida to Pennsylvania to be with me. He was working in a good job that allowed him to transfer up to where I am. His new district manager was very nervous about having him there, though, because as a manager, my boyfriend had been very successful. Long story short, my boyfriend lost his job. He and I had been living together, and now my income was the only one that we had. The job market was tough, and he was out of a job for many months. After dwindling our savings, Payday Loans seemed to be the only option to help keep us afloat.

I have 8 loans, 5 of which are Staffords with the Dept. of Education. some are subsidized and some are not. 2 of my loans are through Texas Garunteed(also staffords 1 subsidized and 1 not.) The other was purchased by Sallie Mae from the finance authority of Maine. 7 yrs. ago I was diagnosed with chronic anxiety and severe panic disorder with agorophobia and have only been able to work for 30 days in 7 yrs. I am married and my husband has to file injured spouse to protect his part of our tax return each year.

I owe 1054 to Orchard for a 2004 credit card but just recently got subpoened by attorneys representing a collection office. Would it be wise to pay off Orchard directly? I contacted the attys office and they connected me to the "junk collector" but the "deal" they want to settle on is way too much for me since Im a stay at home mom. Any advice is appreciated.

Two divorces, and enormous student loan debt. Recently changed jobs and trying to manage mortgage payment and apartment lease. Refinanced home -- no equity, but possibility of refurbishing to lease and cover mortgage payment. Will not be available to phone until Thursday (must make payment).
