Does anyone know what the SOL is for collecting an old debt in Oregon?

This company stole 49.95 out of my account. :x

Okay, I know I saw this somewhere, but now I can't find it. I have some really crappy credit cards that I am getting nowhere with when it comes to paying them off -- annual fees, monthly fees, payment fees, etc. -- I remember seeing a letter template that tells these company that I am having a hard time paying them and that I'd like to close the account with a lower apr, etc. Does anyone know where that link is? I was doing pretty good on my bills untill i got assulted and couldn't work, once i was able to work i wasn't able to find a job. Once i found a job it paid poorly and only covered my living exspences. They found lumps in my breasts which they thought to be caffiene lumps, but i stopped drinking caffinated products but they still haven't gone away so I'm trying to save up to get a mamogram, it's scary because i'm only 19, and have racked up alot of debt which includes student loans, credit cards, loans, and medical bills. I can't even afford to get a car, i feel terrible about my debt.

My biggest problem came from taking on all of my wife's debt. She has become mentally/emotionally unable to work, and furthermore we have gotten ourselves into a one income family of four going on five. In the Western Washington area, one income does not fly for more than one person. At any rate, I have had to take on her minor previous debt, but a large amount of past medical expenses AND all of her want/need expenses over the past four years and it has REALY caught up to us to where we are at our means, with none left over for anything other than bills and essentials.

sorry all this was put in the wrong forum before repost! Ok here is my situation, I filed bankruptcy which was chapter 7 discharged in Feb of 2006. Three months later just when I was getting back on my feet and able to start paying that which I could not file I got layed off. I was able to collect but very little and it took me 6 months to start working again. I am not getting to a point where I can work with creditors. I have student loans that I plan on starting to pay this month. Then yesterday I found out about a tax bill I had no clue about which is 990.00.

I was talking to a lawyer today, as I am getting ready to file chapter 7. He told me that everything seemed okay with my my case, with the exception of one problem. He said the judge would most likely not allow the reaffirmation of debt on my truck. The reason he gave, was I owe more than it's worth, the payments are too high (500 a month) and gas expenses are to high (about 400 a month). It's a 2005 dodge dakota pickup, that my job depends on (I am a service tech, and I travel 5 states, putting on about 2000 miles a month).

I was out tonight and my mother called me freaking out about a call we got at home from a Ms. Rivers. She told my mother she worked for Norman Kalina and stated she was calling for me or my husband. She then gave my mother a case number and my driver's license number (which wasn't even correct.) The caller ID said the call came from Hackensack, NJ. First thing is I am mad that whoever this is would give so much info to my mother on the phone. Second is I am trying to figure out what agency this is before I call back - if I even do that. Does anyone have any tips for me?
