I am trying to clean my credit report. I am a RJM Acquisitions sufferer. I had them removed from TransUnion, but on Experian they will not budge. While reading Texas codes, I ran across the Texas Finance code, section 392. It requires that debt collectors, as defined by 15 U.S.C. Section 1692a(6), post a $10,000 surety bond with the Secretary of State. Yesterday, I sent RJM a written notification full of Code citings informing them that there was NO surety bond on file, that I new my rights and requested that they remove the debt from my report.

This is on back of my contract with Cashland: Anyone who's dealt with or are dealing with Cashland, do you know what this means? Have you had them take money out of your new bank accounts when they couldn't get money out of your closed accounts? How soon did Cashland try this? My account with Cashland is with T and C, and T and C started sending payments out to Cashland and my other PDL loans today. Do I have anything to worry about?

i was looking at my credit report and noticed a new debt account i never recieved any letter nor a phone cal saying i owed this. they're saying it has been open since 04. Any advice.

After sending Financial Recovery Services a C&D letter last week, I received an offer of settlement from them via mail. Not a very good offer, but they clearly state they are willing to listen to any offers I may want to make. The original debt was 1800.00. My balance now according to them is 3225.97. The offer is for 75% of the balance I owe now, which is 2419.48. There is no way I can pay the 2419.48. However, I may be able to come up with a lesser amount. If it were you, what would you counter offer them? Thanks:
