My wife had a old Dr bill for $1686 and now have gone to collections to CCS (Creditors Collections Service)the letter says "Please note.you are hereby placed on a 72 HOURSnotice of our intent to take collection action against you as allowed under state and Federal Law." And the kicker is this is the every first letter we have ever gotten from these people.Nice people :roll:

If I consolidate my debt do I get to keep my van. i still owe money on it? Can I pay off accounts that have gone to collections. Can I stop my wages be attached?

I have been living paycheck to paycheck. My wages are about to be attached again and I can not afford to make my car payment because I have gotten behind. I am at the end of my rope and do not know what to do. For the most part my creditcards are all maxed out. One of them is about ready to be closed because I have gotten behind and can't catch up on it. I also owe some other creditors that have actually gone to collections. I would appreciate any help that I can receive.

you probably don't want to hear this if your a young person but here goes if you can not pay cash for something then you don't need it. PLease young people don't use credit cards they will only get you into trouble if you can not pay them off in the month and let them roll over. Pay day loans seem to be the other problem I see what has happened to my daughter and I really don't want to see debt happen to young people.Maybe we should all go back to a cash basis no credit,no pay day loans they make it sound easy but it's horriable if you can not pay back.

Okay I monitor my credit reports and I got an email alert today stating something had changed. well to make a long story short. i had a land line that I couldn't pay the bill so it was disconnected. The final bill was something like $150. well I finally got a job and about that time I got a letter from a collection agency stating I owed this $150 it had been "turned" over to them) Anyhow I sent them a letter stating I was going to work with the original creditor and expected no more communication from them. This was 11/06 (I never heard from them again).

Please tell me where or how to find out when a credit card was charged off. Do I just look on a credit report and see the date of 180 days over due? Does one Credit Bureau report this information in a clearer manner than the others?

Recently I mentioned in a post that I had some issues regarding my credit report and my ongoing Chapter 13 payment plan. I thought I'd post my findings here, in case it will help answer any questions anyone might have. Mortgage Payments Not Showing on Credit Report I called my attorney's office and asked about this. My credit report shows my mortgage as over $5,000 past due, with no payments being made at all since I filed for Chapter 13. The attorney's fees are paid first and foremost, before anything is paid to any creditors - and his fee was $3,000.

my sister has her daughters father on child support and he was behind on it. then he called her and told her that he filed for bankruptcy and that he had to put child support on it since he was behind on that to but since he told her he filed he has brought a new car, and got a house built. how can he do all this if he claimed that he filed bankruptcy and can you even put child support on it? i never heard of that.

i have recieved a call from 866-281-9011,on 03/23/07, however, i was not alble to get to the phone at that time, a message was lefted, it is 03/24/07 and i am trying to contact them concerning my loan and i'm not able to reach them, is there anyway i can contact them today and find out what information they have for me concerning my loan (if any)? thanky you

I'm currently a student at a 2 year college trying to obtain a degree in sign language interpreting. I'm also speak japanese due to my culture and heritage background. I use these skills in my everyday activiity at the local children's hospital I work at. I enjoy interacting with the children as a role model and educator. I'm in need of assistance to either lower my debt to a reasonable payment and/or paying it off completely.
