I just don't know if I should just start one thread named, "Marley's Questions." :shock: Anyway, I would like to retain a lawyer, just because I am starting a new life...and am not going to let anything or anyone hinder it, so I want a lawyer to make sure my butt is covered at all times till my debt is gone. I have credit card debt and also payday loans. I want a lawyer first for my payday loans. I have been online searching for attorney's in Phoenix, Arizona.

I am in the process of paying off a bunch of payday loan companies (two down, three to go!) and expect to have that accomplished by May 11. HOWEVER, one of my "credit card" delinquencies has been turned over to a firm out of Atlanta, Mann Bracken. My debt is something like $14,000, and they are beginning to "turn up the heat," so to speak, on me. I need to pay off the smaller loans, plus a couple others I have, so I actually HAVE money to address them with. Ques.: I need advice on what rights I have, if they start threatening legal action, etc.

I sent this several days ago with out much feed back. I really need help with this company. Back in 2002 I had a speigel account with a balance of $320.00. The company Newport News/Speigel infomed me that they no longer had a charge card carrier so I mailed a check for the balance on my account. Shortly thereafter the company went into bankruptcy. I never heard back from them regaring this account. Now present day, I've been receiving calls from this company, especially on Sunday but when I call back the number that comes up on my caller I.D. I cannot get through.

First time posting here but have been reading the forums for a few days. My car was repossessed on Monday and the bank (Suntrust) is asking for payment in full on the loan to get my car back. I am currently 54 days behind on payments and over the past year have had a slow payment history. I can't qualify for a legitimate loan (ie not a loan shark/payday place) because my credit is screwed up. I am trying to gather enough money together to get my car back but am afraid I may fall short.

Does anyone know where I could find the addresses and phone numbers for the following payday loan companies: Geneva Roth, Paragon, ameriloan, DMS Marketing, and NetCash USA? I saw it somewhere on one of the forums yesterday and cannot find it today. Also wanted to know if anyone has had experience with any of these companies and if they are generally willing to work with you if you default?
