I just got a call from Cashmaster for a payday loan. Jenny stated that we could write the loan for $300.00 til next payday. I told her never to call here again that their business is nothing more than a sham. She slammed down the phone. Guess I made her mad! :lol:

About a month ago I received a call from a CA about an electric bill that I had. I researched and found that I had paid another CA with a money order that was cashed 2 years earlier. After giving all the payment info to this 2nd CA, I hung up and thought I would call the first CA to see what the story was. The person was hesistant to help, but I insisted. After some minutes they came back and told me that they had put that payment towards a gas bill of mine.

Hi, I am new here and REALLY need your help/advice. I recently received a subpoena saying that Capital One is taking me to court for payment due on a credit card that I haven't had since 2003. It had a $2,000 limit, and I believe the bill I owed was quite close to the limit. To make a long story short, my husband lost his job back then, became ill and hospitalized, I just had a baby, we had to move from our home and I just plain lost track of this. I would be happy to pay what I owed, but now they want close to $4900. First, what do I do? Go to court...without a lawyer?

Has anybody dealt with this PDL company? I need to get them blocked from debiting my account, but thought I'd try to find some contact info on them first. Thanks!

Most of my debt has been accumulated from unpaid hospital bills during which time I had no health insurance. These accounts have been passed on to collection agencies including Wolpoff and Abramson and Tri County Health. I desperatley want to get these debts resolved in a timely manner however my resources are limited. My ideal goal would be to have one monthly payment to pay in which I can become debt free and restore my credit. Thank you very much for considering me.

I also read that CA's turn accounts over to Attorney's who may then try and get a summary judgment against a debtor- without actually filing suit and without the debtor receiving a summons or any notification whatsoever until the Attorney has a judgment in hand. I read where summary judgment's are frequently granted to out-of-state Attorney's. The idea of this is really upsetting to me as a debtor could wake up one morning to face their wages garnished or their checking accounts cleaned out and frozen or someone at the door to pick up their vehicle. I apparently, still I have 1 more loan out there. It is with Tremont Financial and the original balance was $ 300 and I currently owe $ 200. They are threatening to send the voluntary wage garnishment to my payroll department. I have more than paid back the principal of the loan, but my question is, should I just set up a payment arrangement to get it paid (by money order or western union or something, I will NOT give them my checking account info). Hello again. I came here about three months ago and asked a few questions for some research I was doing about PDL's and what draws people to certain PDL loan companies. The moderators on this board didn't seem to like this and the thread was closed, but I did get to do research on another board that caters to people with the same types of needs. My loan agency was opened on Jan. 1st 2007. Since then we have given out over one thousand payday loans. I would say 40% of those loans have gone into default. I know the risk that is involved in giving out these types of loans and expected that.

I have two credit marks on my account and one I have opted for the settlement offer of 50% lower and the other is of 109.00 and I would be glad to pay it off but I do not now what it is for and who to contact?
